Mitcham Library closed for essential electrical works.

NATIONAL SIMULTANEOUS STORYTIME


Library staff filmed our annual performance for  National Simultaneous Storytime where s chool classes, kindies and parents celebrate one book at the same time on the same day around Australia.

As of the end of May we had over 3,0 00  hits on YouTube . Megastars!

The clock prop is presently being enjoyed by kids at the Hawthorn Community Centre.

 Gotta love technology.

It was cold outside but sunny and warm at Hawthorn CC. 

Trixie the lamb from the Flinders dropped in to check us out!

We have a kids Maker Space table, magazines, newspapers, plenty of reading nooks and hot cuppas.
MILES FRANKLIN LITERARY AWARD

The Miles Franklin Literary Awa rd shines light on some of Australia's most talented writers. The 2018 longlist has been announced, and the nominated works, along with previous winners in eBook or eAudiobook format have been curated in a 'virtual shelf' on the OverDrive platform libraries.sa.gov.au/miles .

AVCON AND YOUR LIBRARY

Adelaide's Anime & Video Games Festival will be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre from 20-22 July 2018 (https://www.avcon.org.au). There will be gaming, anime screenings and SA's largest Cosplay competition. 

To tie-in with AVCon, a 'virtual shelf' of 100 anime, gaming, cosplay and computer technology eBooks/eAudiobooks has been curated on the OverDrive platform at   
www.libraries.sa.gov.au/anime
