TOM KENEALLY | AUTHOR TALK
Mitcham Memorial Library | Monday 27 April | 6.30pm
From one of Australia’s most loved authors comes a joyful re-imagining of the adventures of Charles Dickens’ tenth child, Edward Bulwer Lytton Dickens, known as Plorn. Sent by Dickens to ‘apply himself’ in Australia, Plorn is reticent and unsure of his ability to live up to others’ perceptions of his legendary father. Plorn nevertheless throws himself into this journey of self-discovery. Along the way he meets a colourful cast of characters.

Written with compassion and humour The Dickens Boy is Keneally at his very best.
