Need a New Photo for RLC Connect?

Last weekend, you may have noticed us taking photos of some of our members for the online database. We’ll be doing it again this weekend after worship.

If you don’t currently have a photo in RLC Connect—or if you’d like to update the one you have—stop by outside the doors after the service for a quick picture. It will only take a minute and helps our pastors, staff, Elders, and members put names with faces.

No appointment needed!

Dorcas Circle

Dorcas Circle will be meeting in Miller Hall on Monday, October 12th, at 1:00 p.m. We hope you will join us in service and fellowship. Our DCE Scott Treptow will

be sharing his work and goals with us. See you all there!

October is LWML mites month!

Help us celebrate the whole month of October by bringing in your mites any Sunday this month. Or, donate online through the Redeemer website or app. Join us in supporting the many inspirational missions that happen because of your donations!

One such mission is for 2025–2027 LWML National Mission Grant 7

Light of Jesus Christ to Unwed Homeless Mothers

A Place of Refuge Ministries of South WI, Inc., Wisconsin — $75,000

Women can reside at the Refuge House for their entire pregnancy and up to a year following the birth of the child. APOR teaches life and parenting skills.

The women attend worship at a local LCMS congregation every Sunday. The current staff is teaching the Catechism to the moms. The Holy Spirit has brought many moms and babies to the baptismal font.

This grant will fund the purchase of a new van for transportation to church, Bible studies, doctors’ appointments, and grocery shopping, plus a set of five parental skill books to be gifted to each new mom.

RightNow Media Series

RightNow Media is a wonderful resource available to our members offering a wide range of topics. Every month we plan to suggest a video series and provide a guide for individual learning and reflection.

Our October recommendation is: Essential of Faith: Series 2 - Why Does Jesus Matter?

What makes Jesus such an important person? In this six-session series, pastor and author J.D. Greear will answer the question, “Why does Jesus matter?” He’ll explore who Jesus is, why he came, and what he said and did, to help us understand the life-changing effect Jesus had—and continues to have—on the world. Join J.D. and see the difference that Jesus can make in your life.

If you do not yet have a RightNowMedia account, see Jeff Shoumaker to be linked with Redeemer’s subscription.
