Community dialogue
Conservationists from around the Upper Valley gathered at the Bugbee Senior Center to share "speed dating" presentations on topics from rescuing salamanders to Native American agriculture. Afterwards, attendees socialized and recruited volunteers.

Local filmmaking
Each year JAM invites local filmmakers to #Pitchfest, a shark-tank style contest to win money and JAM staff support to get their films made. Watch several of the 2024 winning films that debuted at WRIF 2025: "Black Girls Kissing" (Kiersten White & Julia Anderson), "The Conspirateers" (Malcolm Sharlet), and "Dizziness Man" (Jacob Ford).

Celebrate award-winning music education in the Upper Valley and experience the three All-District Concerts (Band, Jazz, and Choir) for the Lebanon School District, featuring student musicians from Plainfield Elementary, Grantham Village School, Lebanon Middle School, and Lebanon High School.

On First Friday, JAM invites you to fold doves and cranes with artists Mona Shiber and JuPong Lin that will be added to the Peacebirds project to honor every life flown too soon. Lin will read poetry from her play, “Phoenix in the Holy Land,” telling the story of a town’s fight to end the assault on Palestinian life.

Adult media learning
5 Sessions March 27 - April 10, April 12 - 13

Take your cinematography skills to the next level! Over 3 weekly sessions and 1 weekend, participants create a 1-minute film as a group and learn camera operation, directing, lighting, acting, audio engineering, and writing with a focus on achieving that “cinematic look.” For students 16+. Instructor: Chico Eastridge

Discover the exciting potential of drones! Each session features a classroom portion and a field trip for hands-on experience piloting. You can practice flying your own drone or fly JAM’s DJI Mini. Participants will leave with filmmaking skills and a vision of how drones can address community goals. For students 16+. Instructor: Ben Fletcher

We still have spaces for high schoolers to dive into media arts at JAM this summer! JAM Animation Intensive campers explore hand-drawn, paper-cut, and claymation animation. JAM Film Intensive campers run the film set and produce a finished short. One- and two-week options. Instructors: Noah Mauchly, Jordyn Fitch and Chico Eastridge.
