Get to know Bonnie...


Mixed media artist with a passion for every thing art!


Born on the beautiful Island of St. Maarten in the Dutch Caribbean, Bonnie has been a colorful artist her entire life. She brings the palette of the Caribbean to all mediums. Currently residing in Lady Lake, Florida, she has been focusing on the latest craze of mixed media arts and art journaling.


She trained in the fine arts at Middle Tennessee State University, where she also studied art education and instruction. While experienced in traditional mediums like painting, sculpture, and book arts, she has been specializing in mixed media, art journaling, and scrapbooking. Using social media like YouTube and Pinterest, Bonnie has been keeping up with the latest hot new products, techniques, and trends in the mixed media universe, which has been rapidly gaining popularity. With her finger on the pulse of the mixed media movement, each idea and project presented is fresh and exciting.


Classes with Bonnie will be energetic, informative, creative, and most importantly fun. By merging knowledge in classical art techniques, latest mixed media trends, and a background in education, you will be guaranteed to learn, laugh, and go home with something beautiful.


Relax & Art Journal

Relax & Art Journal - March 25th

Come join me in making a mixed media collage page in a 5x8 Dylusions art journal. We will be using scrap paper from all of your left over scrapbook projects and re-purposing them. Experience using a range of products such as home made water color sprays, acrylic paints, modeling paste, Dylusions spray inks, Faber Castell Gelatos, stampers big brush pens, stamps and stencils. Students will get to play and experiment with a range of media, while creating a colorful page. Art journaling is a fun non-stressful experience, no skills necessary. Lets create something beautiful together.  


Supplied by Instructor:

  • Homemade watercolor sprays
  • A selection of distress paints and acrylic paint
  • Clear gesso
  • White gesso
  • Faber Castell Gelatos
  • Stampers big brush pens
  • Painter pens (white and black)
  • Stamps and stencils.
  • Black ink
  • Glitter glue
  • Dictionary pages
  • Old phone books
  • Manila paper for stamping.
  • Distress inks
  • Distresses crackle paint.
  • Color pencils
  • Glues
  • Washy tape
  • Masking tape
  • Bubble wrap
  • Corner rounder

Students Will Need To Bring:

  •  5x8 Dylusions journal  (If you are able to attend Lorraine Bells' class on March 15, you may use that journal)
  • Image of an item of interest. Ex bird, flower, person, photo, embellishment, pet photo, small tag, drawing or magazine clipping. Need something to be your focal point on your page. Needs to fit on (2) 5x8 pages.All students will have something different which makes it exciting!
  •  Apron
  • Scrap paper from left over scrapbook projects
  • Acrylic paints or distress paints (inexpensive 4-6 colors + black and white. I will have some to share.)
  • Modeling paste (inexpensive)
  • Gel medium or mod podge (matte)
  • Selection of paint brushes (#2, #4, round and flat if you got it)
  • Old synthetic paint brush or inexpensive brush (flat)
  • Palette knife
  • Dylusions spray inks (2-3 colors)
  • Stampers big brush pens or any markers you already have
  • Sharpie
  • Stamps with textures, butterflies, birds, people. (I will have some to share, if you have some bring them)
  • Water proof black ink pad
  • Stencils with textures and shapes (I will have some to share)
  • Glue sticks (Elmer's craft bond extra strength is great!)
  • Scissors
  • Old newspaper or something to keep tables clean.
  • Baby wipes
  • Paper towels
  • Water container
  • Heat it tool or hair dryer. (I will have 2 to share)


  •  4x6 photo of yourself or someone you love. (This will have to be cropped)
  • Compressed air duster for keyboards (office supply store) I will have a few.
  • Embellishments
  • Stickers and/or rub ons
  • Chip board cut outs
  • Anything you would like to bring or use, ex. images, prima dolls, etc. Remember it will have to fit onto (2)5x8 pages = 8x10 spread.
Botanical Tea Book

Botanical Tea Book (9x9  Japanese Stab Bound Book) 

March 28th

Create your own book from scratch using Graphic 45's "Botanical Tea" paper collection. Participants will learn how to create a 9x9 inch book out of chipboard and paper using a common Japanese book binding skill.
