Happy belated Valentine's Day! I hope you found small, safe ways to celebrate your loved ones.

So far, 2021 doesn't look too different than what we've been seeing though there has been promising news on the horizon. While I am grateful for technology, my hope is that I will soon get to see you in person. Until then, please continue to stay safe.

February is Black History Month and for the first time in history, we have an African American, Asian American AND female Vice President. What an incredible time to be here and witness this shattering of the glass ceiling. Below, you can read about how V.P. Harris' win is inspiring women and girls everywhere. This month, in support of our fellow female entrepreneurs, we've also highlighted 99 Black, women-owned businesses below. I encourage you to take some time to look at all the incredible work these women are doing in the business world.

You may not know this, but February is also Financial Aid Awareness month. On December 21, 2020, Congress passed the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021, another relief package in response to the pandemic. Included in the bill were several provisions related to education, many of them changes to financial aid. I've linked these changes and what you can expect for Financial Aid for the 2021-2022 academic year below.

This month we have our second retirement webinar. Retirement is a very individual process for everyone. There is no one-size-fits-all checklist. With that said, I'd like to invite you to join us on February 23rd, where we will address the most common "hows, whens, and whats" when it comes to Medicare. Click here to register and be sure to save the date on your calendar.

Please continue to stay well. If there is anything we, at CURO, can do to support you, do not hesitate to call our office. We are all in this together.

All the best,

Marianna
