Escape the Lost Pyramid at MoAW
A Virtual Reality Night at the Museum
On Friday and Saturday night, October 1 and 2, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. MoAW will host PRO VR USA’s Escape the Lost Pyramid Virtual Reality Escape Game, in the realm of Assassin’s Creed Origins, set in Egypt, and is part of the Assassin’s Creed franchise created by Ubisoft. Ubisoft is a major game developer known for many other gaming franchises, including Far Cry, Rainbow Six, Tom Clancy, Ghost Recon, Prince of Persia, to mention a few.

In this Virtual Reality Escape Game, participants will be transported inside a massive pyramid, where they must navigate treacherous obstacles, utilizing weapons, mind, and wits to solve puzzles in order to find the treasured relic and escape.
Surrounded by 124 replicated treasures from the Tomb of King Tut, Escape the Lost Pyramid offers participants an opportunity to immerse themselves in virtual reality in addition to exploring the three-dimensional treasures from the opulent period of 18th Dynasty Egypt, including gilded shrines, life-size statues, a chariot, and a recreation of Tutankhamun’s royal mummy, to mention a few.

The ‘experience’ requires 2 to 4 participants. The participants will have 45 minutes to escape or become pyramid relics themselves. The virtual reality equipment will be onsite in the museum, connected to TV screens, so that non-participating visitors can enjoy the journey with those that take on the challenge. Participants are invited to include friends and family to view the monitors while they play the game in virtual reality. Non-participants are asked to pay general admission and the public-at-large is invited to attend.

NOTE: This VR Escape Game is an extremely immersive experience, in a large space, including extreme virtual heights. If you fear heights, you may want to enjoy this experience as an observer.

The cost for VR participants is $60.00 with a time limit of 45 minutes to complete the challenge and includes free admission to the museum. There are stations available for 4 participants per time slot beginning at 6:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m., and 8:00 p.m. Observers pay regular general admission to the museum to attend: $15.00 for adults, and $12.00 for students, military, and seniors. Tickets may be purchased through Eventbrite Tickets.

The Museum of Ancient Wonders (MoAW) is located at 69028-B East Palm Canyon Drive, HWY 111 at Date Palm Drive, next to Big Lots in Cathedral Gateway Plaza, Cathedral City, CA 92234. For further information about the Museum of Ancient Wonders, visit www.MoAW.org

VESSELS OF THE GODS
Treasures of the Ancient Greeks
1650 to 410 B.C.E

Reflecting the brilliance of a millennium of ancient Aegean culture, four distinct periods produced the designs of these vases: Minoan, Mycenaean, Corinthian, and Attic. Essentially consisting of silhouetted figures drawn against a background of red, black, or white, this art form gradually dies out after the Persian wars, c. 475-450 B.C.E. Shaped and painted by hand, these exquisite reproductions were created in Greece by master artists from the originals housed in The National Museum, Athens, The Heraklion Museum, The Thera Museum, The Corinth Museum, The Delphi Museum, The Louvre Museum, The Vatican Museum, and The Museo Civico, Brescia.

Please, feel free to preview this collection on MoAW's website: www.moaw.org
