Your Impact on Ending Homelessness During COVID-19
As a supporter of MCCH, you helped us take on the task of safeguarding the health of 200 men experiencing homelessness. This required expanding the men’s emergency shelter from one location to three, hiring additional staff, and providing acute hazard pay. We also placed the most vulnerable men in a hotel to protect their health.

Some of our clients and staff have tested positive for COVID-19, but we have been able to get them treatment and prevent the spread to others. MCCH couldn’t have responded to this crisis and supported our neighbors in this way without you.

Since March, we have moved 20 individual and households into new homes! In case you missed it, please take a few minutes to watch the video of Denora seeing her new home for the first time after nearly dying on the streets this past winter. You are responsible for her wonder, joy, and the feeling of security she experienced as she realized she was finally safe at home.
MoCo Community Steps up for MCCH and our Clients
The outpouring of support that MCCH and our clients have received over the last few months has been incredible!
We want to give a special thank you to the corporations whose robust support helped MCCH continue to serve our clients through the challenges of the pandemic, including Halmar International LLC, Adventist HealthCare, Wells Fargo, Aetna, and UnitedHealthcare .
In the past month, we've continued to receive ongoing meal donations from caring community members. We want to give a special shout out to 3 rising 10th graders from Briggs Center for Faith and Action for preparing 50 delicious and healthy dinner meals for people served by MCCH…not once, but three times! We also want to thank Dinners Without Borders and Moby Dick House of Kabob for providing 180 meals for our shelters and supportive housing homes.
Donors Making a Difference
"Someone who doesn’t know me really got this for me?"

This is a sentiment we often hear from clients who receive items from our Urgent Needs Task Force Facebook group! This group connects caring community members with MCCH clients who are in need of items to end their homelessness or thrive after ending their homelessness.

Even through the pandemic, these dedicated supporters have continued to provide urgently needed items to our clients! These items included summer clothes for the men at our shelter, no-touch thermometers, cupcakes and a gift card to celebrate one of our high school grads, and more!

Although it may seem like a small gesture, donating these items shows our clients that their community cares about them. When recovering from the trauma of homelessness, that reminder can be a glimmer of light in the darkness.

You can directly support our clients by joining our Facebook group today and bringing hope to the people we serve all year long!
Thank you for your commitment to ensuring that all Montgomery County residents have a safe, stable and affordable place to call home!
