OSOW Permit Applications Go All Electronic
Beginning Monday, Jan. 3, MCS will accept OSOW permit request applications through the MoDOT Carrier Express online system only. Missouri is the last state in the region to move to all-electronic application.

If you are a carrier who has only applied for a permit by phone, be sure to access your MCE account between now and January. Visit www.modot.org/mce to login or to find instructions on how to obtain a userID. We suggest that if you need a permit between now and January, you call with the login page on your computer screen so our agent can walk you through the process.

Look to our website, www.modot.org/mcs to find help when using MoDOT Carrier Express. Guides such as our OSOW Online Application Guide give step-by-step instruction on application basics.
--- REVISED DATES ANNOUNCED ---
New MoDOT Carrier Express credentialing system
to arrive Feb. 23
Installation requires closure
Expect easier-to-use apportioned license plate, fuel tax return and intrastate authority credentialing functions this February when MoDOT unveils the new MoDOT Carrier Express' credentialing system in early 2022.

In order to remove the old and install the new system, MoDOT will close the credentialing functions of the online MoDOT Carrier Express system beginning at 11 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2022. We will spend the next days closing out the current modules, then installing and preparing the improved system. It will go online at 7:30 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 23.
While the IRP, IFTA and intrastate operating authority programs are out of service, MCS credentialing agents will be unavailable for telephone or in-person assistance.

Oversize Overweight and Safety & Compliance functions will remain unchanged during these days. OSOW agents and MCS investigators will answer calls for their programs, only.
