Mobility Management News:
December 2022
Greetings of this Festive Season!

Here at NCMM our 2022 flew by, and we are assuming the same is true for you and your colleagues. I thought I'd take this opportunity to thank you for your participation in NCMM - whether it's by viewing our many resources on our website, applying for our grants, participating in NCMM webinars and meetings, submitting a promising practice, or by giving us a call with a question or suggestion. Please consider this your newsletter - let us know what you want to see in it, send us stories to include, and share it with your friends!

Second, I'd like to review some of the highlights from our year with you:

  • NCMM launched its new MyNCMM platform to facilitate communications between mobility management professionals both across the country and within your own state and community. We now have close to 2,000 members using the platform!
  • NCMM began offering access to the PolicyMap collection of databases to you and your colleagues as you seek to understand more about your community and gather data for your grants
  • In 2022, NCMM's website received more than 39,000 visitors
  • NCMM worked with grantees either planning or implementing new services, supported by $732,555 in FTA funding administered by NCMM
  • Launch of the NCMM's Community Transportation Database, listing at least 95 percent of the FTA-funded transportation systems through the Sect. 5310, 5311, and 5307 programs, with a searchable map

We look forward to continuing our work with you. Don't be a stranger - send us an email or call.

Best wishes always,

NCMM/PolicyMap
NCMM has six available licenses left for the NCMM/PolicyMap, which gives access to a wealth of demographic and other data that can be used to justify need in targeted areas for funding applications. NCMM will provide access to PolicyMap until Aug. 31, 2023. This opportunity is available only to mobility management practitioners registered through the MyNCMM platform. (If not registered, please do so at nc4mm.org/register before applying for this opportunity). Applicants must also be associated with a nonprofit organization or a government agency that is involved in providing and/or coordinating transportation within their community. Learn more about PolicyMap here, and complete this brief survey if you are interested in accessing NCMM/PolicyMap.
MyNCMM Communications Platform
MyNCMM is a social network for Mobility Managers and our partners to connect, learn, and share ideas. By creating an account, or updating your existing one on our website, you can join others in your state or join a group dealing with similar issues. Easily search for other mobility managers across the country to securely connect and chat all on our website. MyNCMM members can create and join groups based on topic and geography to ask questions and share promising practices. You can easily stay on top of everything NCMM, and your network of mobility managers has to offer, all in one place.

Transportation Media of the Month
This photo was sent to us by community partners in Helena, Ark. It allows us to imagine the situation where the powered chair that this woman depends on so much is suddenly out of commission, and to ponder what alternatives she has.
