I thought I'd take this opportunity to thank you for your participation in NCMM - whether it's by viewing our many resources on our website, applying for our grants, participating in NCMM webinars and meetings, submitting a promising practice, or by giving us a call with a question or suggestion. NCMM staff have been busy traveling in the past few months: 

NCMM has six available licenses left for the NCMM/PolicyMap, which gives access to a wealth of demographic and other data that can be used to justify need in targeted areas for funding applications. NCMM will provide access to PolicyMap until Aug. 31, 2023. This opportunity is available only to mobility management practitioners registered through the MyNCMM platform. (If not registered, please do so at nc4mm.org/register before applying for this opportunity). Applicants must also be associated with a nonprofit organization or a government agency that is involved in providing and/or coordinating transportation within their community. MyNCMM is a social network for Mobility Managers and our partners to connect, learn, and share ideas. By creating an account, or updating your existing one on our website, you can join others in your state or join a group dealing with similar issues. Easily search for other mobility managers across the country to securely connect and chat all on our website. MyNCMM members can create and join groups based on topic and geography to ask questions and share promising practices. You can easily stay on top of everything NCMM, and your network of mobility managers has to offer, all in one place. 

On Nov. 30 the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) hosted a webinar to learn about the Coordinating Council on Access and Mobility (CCAM)'s recently adopted 2023 - 2026 CCAM Strategic Plan, resource commitments, and next steps for implementation. The plan prioritizes expanding safe access to transit, providing affordable mobility options and sets a framework for collaboration among CCAM grantees at all levels and across jurisdictions. CCAM is a federal interagency council that coordinates funding and provides expertise on human services transportation for people with disabilities, older adults, and individuals of low income. FTA leads the CCAM, on behalf of the Secretary of Transportation, in coordination with 28 other federal agencies. View the recorded webinar on the CCAM website.

The new Crime and Human Trafficking Prevention for Smaller Transit Agencies has launched! This resource center provides crime and human trafficking prevention educational materials and interactive learning opportunities designed specifically for rural, small city, and tribal transit agencies. The site includes interactive movies, specialized toolkits, self-directed training materials, topic-specific podcasts and more. The site is a partnership of the Community Transportation Association of America (CTAA), the Texas Transportation Institute and the Southwest Transit Association, with the materials funded by the Federal Transit Administration.

Also be sure to avail of CTAA's free "Understanding Passengers Who Have Experienced Trauma," and these five free modules from Denver RTD to assist your drivers when they encounter individuals experiencing these mental health conditions: 

On Jan. 9, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. ET, the webinar "Braiding Resources to Collaboratively Develop and Strengthen Housing + Services Partnerships" will be hosted by the Housing and Services Resource Center. It will feature examples of strong collaborations from federal, state, and local levels. Presenters will explore not only opportunities to braid funding and resources but also approaches to developing partnerships that really work! Learn more and register for this webinar.
