RAMP SIGNALS ACTIVE
Starting today, January 31, our partner, FDOT District Four, is activating ramp signals on the SR 9/I-95 entrance ramps at Cypress Creek Road, Atlantic Boulevard, and Palmetto Park Road. The signals will help control traffic entry onto SR 9/I-95 and improve traffic flow during rush hour.

The signals work based on real-time traffic conditions and alternate between red and green lights to control the rate at which vehicles enter the highway. They break up the groups of merging vehicles to reduce the impacts of entering traffic to regulate the overall flow. To date, ramp signals have significantly improved mobility and travel speeds during the morning and evening rush hour periods by 16% and 11%, respectively.

Your contributions could potentially be addressed in future transportation planning studies. Submit your ideas by Friday, February 11.
