Hi LYS's!
This is the "Breathe and Hope" shawl which was designed for LYS Day 2020. The name of it is a mantra of mine right now and I imagine some of you can relate. As described in the March email, it is an asymmetric triangle with two colors. Details of the pattern are given at the bottom of the page.
As you know, LYS Day was canceled due to the social distancing necessity. Since many LYS's are arranging for curbside pickup and mail order during the shutdown, I just decided to go ahead and do a modified version of LYS Day for April 25 so customers can buy from you online or by phone. Since some of you are
not
doing this,
I won't automatically send out codes
to everyone on the LYS list, so here is what you must do
ONLY IF YOU WANT TO BE INCLUDED:
Email me with the following
on one line
so I can copy and paste into Excel:
City, State (or country) AND Store name - That is all and I will send you codes. Please copy and paste codes for your customers, as Rav gets finicky sometimes.
I will begin sending out codes this weekend. If you haven't gotten yours by Tuesday afternoon, please email me and let me know. Please don't send send me nasty emails; I miss things sometimes because I'm human so pease remember this before you press the send button. Please tell your LYS friends so everyone can take part!
If you want to sell kits I did the graphic above so you could grab and post it on instagram and Facebook (
make sure to use portrait mode on Instagram
or it will be cut off) but feel free to do your own graphics. I am using bold and capitals because
so many people don't read the instructions
and it creates
a lot
of extra work
on my part by having to answer multiple questions. The pattern is awaiting its final tech editing, delayed because I got COVID.
My March email gave details of the yarn combinations that would look good together so please refer to that when pairing yarns. There are actually SO many combinations that look good together so feel free to mix brands and refer to the image below for pattern details. This is an intermediate beginner pattern.
In Summary
- Email me if you want to be included in this modified LYS Day.
- You are welcome to use any images from this page.
- You may advertise on April 21 or after.
- You may sell the kits with free pattern April 24-26.
- You should all have codes by Tuesday afternoon.
- Copy and paste the codes when giving to customers.
- It has to go through Ravelry - please do not print out and mail patterns because customers will not get updates.
Thank you for your patience and I hope that this helps some of you! xxx Bronwyn
