On the home front, after an exciting whirlwind wedding in Brooklyn last month, my son, Max, took his bride, Yaeli, back to Israel with him, and they moved into their first apartment. I love my new daughter-in-law. She called me "Mom" before they were even engaged. It feels like it was all meant to be. I'm so happy for them and breathing Gratitude. Arriving home after all the travel and high energy and emotion, I took time to rebalance myself with meditation, exercise, healthy eating, and reading. I also took time to rebalance my home. When I balance my inner and outer "homes," work and everything else falls into balance.

I'm in construction on a full bathroom remodel that I call "Janice's Spa Bathroom," with a soaking tub for deep relaxation. Look for before and afters in a future newsletter!

For the first time, I'm working with a national corporation on a large project. I'm working directly with the vice president of their in-house construction company, as well as with people in different states, and there are lots of moving parts. We're redesigning the common areas in the senior apartment building and the multi-housing apartment building next door to it, as well as building their new leasing offices and refreshing a few other spaces. All the furniture is on order, and I got the ok on the art selections I presented to them. That's one of my favorite parts because it will tie everything together and add more color and positive energy. They liked everything and saw my point of view, so I'm excited to have it all installed.

Working with different people in a national company has been a positive experience for me and a very interesting ride that I've not been on before. I'm enjoying the diversity of my work and am truly grateful for all of it.

So, we decided to offer education about climate change. Next to the pictures of the beautiful lush forest are pieces showing deforestation. Now, as a Feng Shui designer, I would not want pictures of forest clearings in my home, but the articles next to the deforestation pictures explain climate change and what is happening. The contrast offers meaningful information on the natural cycles of flora and fauna..."
