Momentum in D.C. and LA!
Bob's Life Reminds Us to March Every Day
Greetings!

On Jan. 21, I felt the momentum for life in D.C. at the National March for Life. Even amidst Covid, the crowd was massive. And Louisiana was well-represented! Our friend from West Monroe, Lisa Robertson of Duck Dynasty, shared her powerful testimony (above) on the March for Life stage. Another resident of Northeast Louisiana, Congresswoman Julia Letlow, also spoke, exhorting the audience to "raise our voices in unity for those who deserve equal rights under the law."

The next two days, despite extremely cold weather, we marched together for life across Louisiana. And this Saturday, we will march in Alexandria and Slidell.

In the midst of these marches, we laid to rest our founder, Bob Winn. Along with Sharon Rodi on our board, I had the honor to share a few words of remembrance about Bob (which can be found at this link).

With the coming Supreme Court decision, we are closer than ever to ending abortion. But even with our growing momentum, abortion forces are not giving up. On the day of the March for Life, President Biden announced a new "Task Force on Reproductive Healthcare Access" to help prop up abortion-on-demand.

But even after 49 years of legal abortion, we will never give up. Let's remember, just like Bob did throughout his life, to march every day in defense of human life.

For a Pro-Life Louisiana,
Benjamin Clapper
March in CENLA & Slidell This Saturday!
Thousands of pro-life citizens braved the cold air last Saturday and Sunday and marched Together for Life at the Life Marches in Baton Rouge, Lake Charles, Shreveport-Bossier, and Monroe-West Monroe. If you missed those, or you want to march again, the Louisiana Life March CENLA is this Saturday morning in Pineville. The march begins at 10 a.m. at Louisiana Christian University (formerly Louisiana College) and continues to the Pineville riverfront. Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry will be among the speakers. You can also march for life in Slidell at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
Baton Rouge, Shreveport Participating in Spring 40 Days for Life Campaign
40 Days for Life's spring campaign will take place in Louisiana this year in Shreveport and Baton Rouge. The campaign is March 2 through April 10, and signups are now open in both areas. The Baton Rouge 40 Days for Life campaign takes place in front of the Delta abortion clinic, while the Shreveport campaign takes place in front of the Hope Medical abortion clinic in Shreveport. Please bring your group to pray in front of these abortion facilities and stand as a witness for life!

Sharon Rodi, longtime board member of Louisiana Right to Life and the state's delegate to National Right to Life, was among the thousands who attended the National March for Life. She was quoted in a World article titled Marching Toward a Post-Roe Future.

The Texas Heartbeat Bill remains in effect, and we are teaming with donors and volunteers to place these billboards (and others) on important stretches of interstate as women from Texas travel to Louisiana seeking abortion. Watch our new one-minute recap from the 2022 Proudly Pro-Life Gala!

Our Gala was an amazing success as nearly 600 people joined us to celebrate life and the gift of adoption in downtown New Orleans! Speakers Alex and Stephen Kendrick inspired the audience with their work and upcoming film!
Our friend Brenda Desormeaux of the Desormeaux Foundation was featured on News 15 in Lafayette for her great work to help mothers and save babies! When speaking of helping women, Brenda said, "So whatever she needs as a new mother that chooses life we will provide them at no cost."
