Moms Adopting Moms

A Word from Our Founder

The Age of Distrust

Have you ever had an experience that made you lose trust—whether in people you knew or strangers? These days, technology makes it easy for false promises and scams to spread: “This pill will make you lose weight,” “This one will cure disease,” “This service will save you thousands.” Over time we’ve learned to tune it all out. But that means sometimes we even ignore the cries of those who are truly hurting.

A tragic reminder came recently when a little girl lost both her parents within a matter of months—first her father followed last week by her mother. Both from suicide. In moments like these, we grieve not just for the child but for the despair and hopelessness that robbed her of her family. Yet even in tragedy, people will hesitate when asked to contribute because of trust. Will my gift even reach the little girl or are the people taking advantage of this tragic situation?

We faced that very question ourselves just a few weeks ago. A man promised us a $2,000 gift, which later turned out to be a check fraud scheme designed to trick us into sending money back. Thankfully, with the help of our bank and accountants, we were protected. But the experience was another reminder of how much distrust permeates our world.

And then God showed up. Just two days later after finding out the check was fraudulent; a member of our church approached me and said his organization wanted to give Moms Adopting Moms $2,000—the exact amount we "lost". Only God can write a story like that.

I know many sometimes wonder: “Can I trust this nonprofit?" or "Where is my money really going?” Well let me assure you - every dime given to Moms Adopting Moms directly supports families in our local area. Because of your generosity we have been able to hire three full-time bio mom peer mentors and one part time foster/kinship/adoption coordinator—women with lived experience who walk alongside mothers fighting for reunification. Our books are open, our work is transparent, and most of you know me and my story personally.

So, I ask you: trust again. Trust that your generosity matters. Trust that your giving helps restore children to safe, stable homes. Trust that you are part of breaking cycles of hopelessness and building futures of hope.

We live in a broken world, but we serve a faithful God. And together, we can bring light into dark places. Thank you for standing with us, for believing with us, and for giving generously. Donation options are listed on our website: www.momsadoptingmoms.org.

With gratitude,

Beach Party & Grill Out Recap

Our recent beach party and grill-out was a fantastic success! The day was filled with laughter, good food, and fun. It was a wonderful opportunity to unwind, connect, and enjoy each other's company, offering a much-needed break from the daily hustle. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the event so special. Given the great turnout and positive feedback, were looking forward to making this an annual tradition. See you next year!

Congratulations to Daydrianna & Brandon Tarbush!

Earlier this month several of us gathered to celebrate the marriage of one of our first Bio Mom Peer Mentors, Daydrianna and her new husband, Brandon.

Daydrianna's journey is one of perseverance, faith, and hope. She continues to inspire those around her, not only through her mentorship but through the life she's building with purpose and grace.

We also want to extend a heartfelt thank-you to Joy Baptist Church, whose incredible generosity made this special day possible and to her foster family (pictured) who are committed to adopting the whole family for life!

Congratulats Daydrianna!
