During the 1920s and '30s, Art Deco heralded New York’s arrival as a cosmopolitan metropolis. Art Deco City: illuminates the key role postcards played in transforming our vision of New York. Featuring over 250 postcards as well as decorative arts, and architectural models.
NY AT ITS CORE
450 years of NY history framed in 450 objects. We will look at only few of them.
THE MARTIN WONG GRAFFITI COLLECTION
New York’s age of graffiti began in the early 1970s. This new movement, often consciously artistic despite its unsanctioned origins, shows many artists who transitioned from illegally 'tagging' to creating paintings respected by museums.
ACTIVIST NY
Activist New York presents the passions and conflicts that underlie the city's history of agitation. We will look at immigration in the 19th and 21st Centuries.
SHIRLEY CHISHOLM AT 100 YEARS
Celebrating the life of one of the first politicians to rise in the 1970s directly from the voters rather than the political machine.

Walk a short three blocks to the Museum at 1220 5th Ave. (at 103rd St.).
Or, take a Taxi or Uber from 125th street.
Or, walk from the 125th St. station, down 5th Ave. to the museum.
