Get ready for VidCon!
We will be covering the big creator and influencer show at the Anaheim Convention Center this Wed-Sat. Highlights include Nike Sport Court skateboarding, and panels with top creators, Industry and Community networking events, and industry parties. Plus lots of cool activations on the show floor and around the Anaheim Convention Center. Panel topics include: Facebook Watch, increasing Instagram engagement, working with brands, LGBTQ meetup and panels and much more. See the full agenda here. Anime Expo 2019
featured cosplay, panels, games, and more celebrating anime and Japanese culture on July 4-7 at the LA Convention Center in downtown LA. The annual convention featured panels, expo floor, Masquerade, Maids Cafe, After Hours shows, VR, karaoke and lots of cosplay and fun photo opps. Digital highlights include:
Alita AR Wall: 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment commissioned an Alita: Battle Angel-inspired "Manga Wall" to promote the digital release of Alita: Battle Angel today July 9. Fox invited Alita cosplayers to take pics with the wall, which incorporated a Facebook-enabled AR lens to bring special feature content from the home release to Anime Expo attendees' smartphones. Additional digital highlights include Anime VR, 3D printing for cosplay, and lots of Instagram-savvy cosplayers. See our article recap.

Stranger Things 3 - Starcourt Mall Experience on Sunset Strip.
You could step into the world of Stranger Things 3 at the Starcourt Mall experience July 4-7 at the Tower Records location on the Sunset Strip. The takeover promoted the release of Stranger Things season 3 on Netflix on July 4, perfect for binge-watching over the holiday weekend. The Starcourt Mall experience featured a maze with several Instagrammable photo opps themed to Season 3 inside. Outside, you could take photos with Stranger Things 3 murals, get free cans of New Coke (reissued just for Stranger Things 3), and free Scoops Ahoy butterscotch ice cream. Several billboards nearby were also decked out in Stranger Things 3. See our article.

Our pre-E3 Music for Games Panel
Award-winning composers on big game franchises including Star Wars, Call of Duty, Assassin's Creed, Transformers, and more shared their insights into their craft at our pre-E3 Digital LA - Games Summit, held at Cross Campus Downtown LA on the day before the big E3 games convention.

Composers said it's important to create your distinct voice and style, yet be true to the sounds and style of music in the game franchise. Speakers included Grammy-nominated Austin Wintory (Journey, Assassins Creed Syndicate), Wilbert Roget (Call of Duty WWII, Mortal Kombat 11),

Influencers described how they got started, work with brands, and engage and inspire fans on our Digital LA - LGBTQ Influencers Panel on Tues at WeWork PDC. It was our annual pre LA-Pride event.

Speakers gave influencer tips including: Don't be afraid to reach out to brands you like, and see if they want to work with you. Chances are they will!
