Hydra-pneumatic cylinders and presses

HyperCyl®  "hydra-pneumatic" cylinders and presses are designed for use in a wide range of assembly and forming applications.

HyperCyl© cylinders operate on a basis of ratios. Input air pressure (PSI) multiplied by the Working Ratio of a respective cylinder determines the cylinder Output Force. F=Input PSI x Working Ratio. These inline cylinders are a totally self-contained, cost-effective power source ideally suited for a wide variety of assembly and forming applications and are available in sizes from 1 to 200 tons.

Rethink Robotics' recent release of    Intera® 5.2   is an expansion of its first-of-its-kind Intera software platform that provides critical data insights to manufacturers in real time. Rethink Robotics’ Sawyer™ gives operators and line managers valuable data at a glance, including metrics such as cycle time, part count, speed and force.
 
The new feature,  Intera Insights, displays key performance indicators (KPIs) via a customizable dashboard on the robot’s on-board display, making it accessible directly on the factory floor. The same charts are also fed back to the Intera Studio platform, providing visibility to other members of the manufacturing team

CPX-E Modular Control System
PLC functions, multi-axis and remote I/O

The automation system CPX-E is designed as a central control system for handling technology, with an EtherCAT® master controller and a motion controller with protection to IP20.

In addition to comprehensive PLC functions and multi-axis applications with interpolation, the CPX-E can be the heart of a EtherCAT® system. Different bus modules are available for using it as a compact and low-cost remote I/O.

The easy ELECylinder is designed for simplicity from start-up to maintenance. Speed / Acceleration settings can be set in just 5 minutes. No time-consuming programming is necessary. You can also operate it with ON / OFF signals, like a solenoid valve. No time-consuming programming is necessary.

  • Start and end points can be set at any value
  • Battery-less absolute encoder means no maintenance required
  • Built-in controller requires no control panel space

FXP/FXM Vacuum Area Gripping System
Universal grippers for handling different workpieces
The vacuum area gripping systems FXP and FMP guarantee maximum flexibility during automated handling processes. This universal gripper makes automated palletizing, depalletizing, order picking and sorting of the most varied goods in varying dimensions with only one gripper possible. Workpieces made from the most varied materials, such as carton, wood, metal sheets (dry) and plastic, both with and without cut-outs, can be handled.
 
A benchmark test indicates that the FXP / FMP series from Schmalz generates an 86 % higher suction force on average than comparable grippers on the market. This is due to innovate features such as vacuum boosters, leak-free check valves and sealing foam with high suction cell density.
