Dear friend in Christ,
We're blessed to have friends from all over the world who submit prayer requests, visit our
website
and follow us on social media. One of those friends, who lives in Argentina, made a comment which set me thinking. We had posted about autumn and the equinox and she commented that, while it's autumn here, in Argentina they are moving into spring. I saw an image of how creation is evenly balanced and how, while spring and fall seem to be opposites, they are connected. The seasons depend on one another: spring is the time of new growth and fall is the time of harvest. The one can't exist without the other. It's a reminder, too, that we are called to nurture and protect creation because our world is part of a greater, interdependent whole.
Wherever you live, may the next month be a season of blessings!

On September 7, we participated in the
Walk to Defeat ALS in
loving memory of Sister Theresa Schumacher, who passed away from ALS on May 29, 2019. Seventeen people walked for Theresa's Team, and several more registered as supporters. We are deeply blessed to have such a loving support system and to have had the privilege of knowing and loving S. Theresa!
Learn more about the
ALS Association and join them in fulfilling their mission “to discover treatments and a cure for ALS, and to serve, advocate for, and empower people affected by ALS to live their lives to the fullest.”
