Jesus discreetly revealed at the Last Supper (before His crucifixion) which one of His twelve disciples would betray Him. Later that night, after hours of agonizing prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane, the soldiers came to take Him away. As Judas, who led them there, greeted Him with the betrayal kiss (the arranged signal), Jesus said to Judas (NKJV), “Friend, why have you come?” It was a rhetorical question since Jesus already knew the reason. The remarkable thing is that Jesus still called him “friend.” He held no animosity toward Judas Iscariot.
Jesus then willingly went with the soldiers where he was interrogated by the chief Roman curator, the religious Jewish high priest, then brutally beaten and crucified by Roman soldiers. It was a fulfillment of God’s plan of redemption for mankind just as prophesied centuries earlier.
Jesus still calls Himself “friend” to all of us regardless of whether or not one believes on Him. There have been recent reports in our time of Jesus appearing in a dream or vision to Muslims who have never heard of Him, yet they instantly and intuitively recognize His divinity. When they ask His name, His reply is, “Call me Friend.”
Judas Iscariot felt guilty of betraying his innocent friend and consequently hung himself. But what if someone were to betray you? Betrayal is a deliberate act. It can hurt us deeply, especially when it is someone whom we know very well. Are you able to respond with kindness as Jesus did?
In Matthew 5:44 (NKJV) Jesus said, “…love your enemies, bless those that curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you…”. Jesus’ number one commandment (John 13:34) is “…that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.” I John 4:8, 16 say “God is love.” It is the very essence of who He is.
The evil in this world does not come from above, but from Satan (Lucifer) who, as “prince of the world” opposes God in all he does. When you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, His spirit of love is instilled within your spirit. You can then honestly (and not hypocritically) call everyone “friend.”
You can accept Jesus as your own personal Lord and Savior by praying, then repent of being a “lost” sinner, ask God to forgive you, accept the sacrificial blood of Jesus on heaven’s altar as full payment for sin, and ask Him to become the Lord of your life. He will give you new life (spiritual and soul renewal) within, making you a “new man” from the inside. You can do that anytime and from wherever you are at that moment. It does not have to be with any particular person, priest, or minister. It does not have to be at any particular place. You just need to do it sincerely…whenever and wherever and accept Him as your friend and Savior.

THIS IS A TEST – ONLY A TEST

When I was younger, there would be an emergency broadcasting system test that would come on the television. It would say, “This is a test, only a test” and the screen would go on and off and make an annoying sound. It was a necessary test to see if the system works.
Did you know that God has a similar system? He wants to test us to see what we have learned and if it is still working. ow do How does he do this? He allows tests to come in our lives. If we pass the test without failing, then we move upward to the next level and a new test. If we do not pass the test, then we must take it again. We don’t advance until we pass the test.
What are we supposed to do when these tests come? James gives us the answer.
James 1:2 says, “My brethren [anyone saved whether man or woman, boy or girl] count it all joy when ye fall into divers [various] temptations [putting to proof by experiment].
Temptations also mean discipline, adversity, or provocation. Now, most of us like things that are pleasant, not adversarial or provocations. Yet, God allows these things to teach us patience and endurance.
My question today to you is this: have you passed or flunked the test? If you passed that is great news. If you flunked, that is great news also because you get to take the test over until you pass.

PROPHETIC WORD
AS GIVEN TO HELEN SANDERS

For I would say unto you, my child, do not be dismayed at the shaking that is going on around you and even in you. For this shaking is of me. My child have I not said that all that could be shaken will be shaken? And it shall increase exponentially. For it must happen to bring my creation to the foot of my throne in repentance. Yes, my child, I am allowing this shaking, and there will be much more. There will be shakings in the environment, in the weather, in the political realm, and more importantly, in the church. For there are many that would call me Lord, but they do not know me. For, if they knew me, they would hear my voice and follow me. Many are leading my people astray saying peace and safety when there will be no peace and safety other than that which is found in me.
Spend time alone with me. I am jealous for your time saith the Lord. I long for those that say they love me to just get quiet and sit at my feet, letting me touch them deep in their souls. Many are weary, for they have been in many heated battles, some of which were not for them to fight. It is time to withdraw from those things that bring you weariness and just sit at my feet. Let me show you what true love is my child. Let me wrap my arms around you and wipe your tears. Let me carry you through the deep waters, and through the fires that are coming. For I am with you through the chaos, and I am with you through the fire. But these things must come to bring purity to my bride, and a cleansing of the temple.
Oh, my child, the temples are full of vanity and pride, and they must go. The temples are full of deceit and wickedness, and they must be removed. So, as you look at the shaking, know it is for a season to bring you and my body into a pure relationship that depends only upon me. There is no greater support than that is given from the rock that you can lean on, and that rock is me, saith the Lord. Turn your ears off of the chaos and focus on the assignment that I have given you. There are so many distractions that are trying to pull you away from me. Some look very innocent, but they are a trap to keep your eyes off me, saith the Lord. Do not walk in fear. Let the faith that you have developed rise up in you for such a time as this. I have put the scepter out and all you need to do is touch it and you will receive your heart’s desires. Do not focus on things but rather focus on the creator of all things.
There is coming an unravelling that will bring down the house of cards, which was not built on the solid rock. Oh, that my children would see with spiritual eyes and not the natural, for these things have to happen to fulfill my word that has been spoken in times past. There will be an unravelling, and there will be a curtain call, for the time of playing is all over. This is the time to be more intent on hearing my voice than ever. Do not be caught off guard. Guard your heart my child, for the traps are being set, and the time of great trouble is at hand. Stay close to me and know that as you go forward, there may be bumps and bruises, but I will see you through if you trust me, saith the Lord. Trust will be shaken in the natural, and in the spiritual realm. Be careful who you open your heart to because the heart is wicked and deceitful. Be careful of the words that you speak over yourself, for they will either bring life or death. I pray for you my child that you will not falter in the days ahead. I am waiting for you in the secret place saith the Lord.

Monday Thought For Today
As we worship the Lord with singing or dancing, giving praise and honor to our Lord, we recognize what God has done for us. But let’s get serious for a moment, when you are thinking about just you and Jesus. Did you turn back to Him with rejoicing in your heart? Did you say thank you? Did you just sit at His feet worshiping and honoring Him for the things He has done for you? In that moment it becomes worship. You have crossed over into another realm of gratefulness and gratitude for what God has done.
I just heard a teaching and I was reminded that saying thank you and telling the Lord thank you sometimes isn’t enough. There has to be a heart change when your heart becomes grateful for all the things God has done in your life.
As we celebrate Thanksgiving this week take time to reflect on the goodness of God in your life.
“I will give thanks to You, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all Your wonderful deeds. I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing the praises of Your name, O Most High.”

You have to "rise up" by faith on the inside or by the spirit man, before you "rise up" in the natural. You know your spirit man/woman is where you draw your strength from. This is why you have to build your faith up to the point you can push from the inside out, even if you are physically weary or tired. I had to do some physical therapy early this year and physically I didn't feel I could do it. I asked the Lord to help me to be able to do it. He spoke to me to "push from the inside out." I had to think about and ponder that. He then spoke to me that my physical strength to do that therapy, could be pushed out from my spirit, which was strong. Even though my outward body did not feel strong at that time. "Even though the outward man perishes, the inward man is renewed day by day."
