HOW GOD PROMOTES PEOPLE
I was watching a movie about horses. There was a horse that had been in an accident involving the trailer it was being pulled in. The driver was killed, her daughter was severely injured, and the horse was also hurt. After the accident, the horse was terrified of being confined and would not let anyone come near him. The only person that could help that horse was the daughter of the trainer that died in the accident. She was also injured. It was easy to blame each other for what had happened. The trainer decided the only way she could overcome the fear of this horse was to earn the horse’s trust. She worked with that horse for weeks, and through the process healing came to the horse and to her. Her hard work paid off for both of them.
Life is full of hardships, heartaches, and hurts. Rarely are they solved overnight. Churches are full of people wanting to “belong” and be used but afraid to try. There are many that have been hurt for various reasons. Some have been faithful and never have been acknowledged.
How does promotion come with God? It comes through being faithful whether anyone else sees that faithfulness or not. It comes from “doing the right thing” even if the crowd doesn’t go the right way. It is being faithful even when you have been hurt, had hardships and heartaches.
In the parable of the talents and the pounds promotion and reward for faithfulness came to those that “took a chance” and invested what God had given them. It says in these parables that the “Lord” of these servants was gone for a long time. When He did come back, He rewarded their faithfulness. This is speaking of Jesus my friends. He is the Lord. Those that are faithful will be promoted and receive the rewards for being faithful. Those that do nothing with what God gives them (no matter what the reason) will be “demoted” and lose all they have.
We can learn a lot from the movie I watched. There will be hurts, there will be fears, but if we faithfully take care of what God brings our way, we will see the results. Don’t hesitate to launch out into something you have never done before. Don’t let your fear and pain keep you from healing. When you do, you will see that God will bring you to a better place. Promotion is awaiting you!
