The Lesher Center Headliners Series - Special offer for Chamber Members!

Diablo Regional Arts Association is proud to bring Brian Stokes Mitchell and other incredible Headliner talent to the Lesher Center stage and thrilled to have the wonderful Lafayette Chamber as such a great arts supporter!

The Lesher Center Headliners Series successfully kicked off last month with country pop star LeAnn Rimes and continues this month with Tony Award winner Brian Stokes Mitchell on February 25!

Broadway legend and two-time Tony Award winner, Brian Stokes Mitchell has captivated audiences in Kiss Me, Kate, South Pacific, Ragtime, Man of La Mancha, and many more. With nightly performances from his New York balcony in the Spring of 2020, Stokes sang in honor and recognition of healthcare workers after recovering from the virus himself. Now he brings his velvety baritone and unstoppable charisma to Walnut Creek for one night only! Don’t miss an unforgettable evening of brilliant music, from the Great American Songbook to Broadway tunes, and check out our remaining star-studded series by visiting www.draa.org/headliners. All performances will take place at the Lesher Center for the Arts and begin at 7:30pm.

Multiple shows may be bundled for up to 20% off, but we invite you to use the code CHAMBER for $10 off individual tickets. This code may be redeemed online, in person, or by calling the Lesher Center Ticket Office at (925) 943-7469. Ticket Office hours are Wednesday through Sunday 12pm – 6pm.
Join the Board of Sustainable Lafayette!

Sustainable Lafayette is looking for energetic new Board members to join our impactful group! Our current Board is made up of a handful of fun community leaders who bring a deep dedication and passion to the mission on local issues ranging from plastic reduction to car idling, bike paths, affordable housing, open space, and more. For this next round of Board recruitment, we’re seeking new members with a connection to Lafayette and a specific interest in:
  • 1) finance and accounting;
  • 2) party planning and event organizing;
  • 3) social media and website management;
  • 4) local government or business relations; or
  • 5) urban planning.

We strongly encourage women, people of color, LGBTQ+, and others of diverse backgrounds to apply.

Do you have what it takes to be on the Board of Directors?
The Sustainable Lafayette Board meets monthly in-person and/or via zoom on the second Tuesday night of the month. Directors are required to attend at least 7 meetings per year during their two-year term. An active Board member volunteers at least 5 hours per month, including attending Board meetings. These hours could include committee work, planning or working at a public event, meeting with partners, or helping with the implementation of a project.

Why act locally?
As the climate crisis looms and the Bay Area braces for drought, wildfires, and sea level rise, these are unprecedented times facing Lafayette residents. Decisions we make now can have a significant impact on the future of our city and communities around the Bay Area. If you’ve ever looked around Lafayette and wanted to see changes to make our beautiful city more sustainable, now is the time to join Sustainable Lafayette and make a difference. Join us.

Apply now! Use this link to let us know you’re interested; all qualified applicants will be interviewed by existing Board members. For more information send an email to: info@sustainablelafayette.org.
