NATIONAL CHOCOLATE PUDDING DAY | JUNE 26
Each year on June 26th, National Chocolate Pudding Day gets us all excited for a serving of this creamy dessert. Children and adults alike love chocolate pudding and have done so for generations. Usually eaten as a snack or dessert, chocolate pudding is also used as a filling for chocolate creme pie.
Chocolate pudding is usually made with milk and sugar, flavored with chocolate and vanilla then thickened with flour or cornstarch. However, some recipes do use eggs when making the pudding. Historically, chocolate pudding is a variation of chocolate custard, using starch as a thickener instead of eggs. The 1903 edition of Mary Harris Frazer’s Kentucky Receipt Book and the 1918 edition of Fannie Farmer’s Boston Cooking School Cook Book, both printed recipes for the earlier version, using both eggs and flour.
In 1934, General Foods (Jello) introduced a chocolate pudding mix as “Walter Baker’s Dessert.” However, in 1936, they renamed it “Pickle’s Pudding.”
Chocolate pudding can be purchased ready-made and sold in grocery stores, convenience stores, and gas stations. The popular brands include Jell-O by the Kraft Foods Corporation and Snack Pack by Hunt’s.

Pigéon Catering is uniting New Orleans and St. Rose operations, moving to Old Jefferson

Perhaps Pigéon Catering & Events was fated to leave New Orleans.
The family-owned food company, which originated as a mid-1980s delicatessen in a trailer in Kenner, moved into a ramshackle warren in Mid-City on Aug. 26, 2005, three days before Hurricane Katrina. The high-water mark of the levee failures is still denoted by a lobby sign, 5½ feet above the floor.
But it’s not worries about flooding or crime that’s driving Pigéon out of New Orleans, co-owner Dean Pigéon said. And it's not moving far, because it must stay close to the school lunchrooms and Canal Street hotels that make up a big part of its business. Even Elmwood and New Orleans East would be too great of a distance.
Instead, the reason for the move is this unusual company’s sales growth and its desire for larger, customized quarters.
“We just couldn’t find anything suitable,” Pigéon said.
$6 million move
Pigéon is spending an estimated $6 million renovating and equipping a 55,000-square-foot former vodka distillery, at 803 Jefferson Highway in Old Jefferson, as its headquarters. Moving there will allow the company to consolidate its operations from three sites — in Mid-City, Uptown and rented cold storage in St. Rose — into one.
“It’s going to be a huge asset to this industry,” said Rebecca O’Brien, business development director at GNO Inc.
Pigéon operates in three market segments, two of them familiar and the other inconspicuous. Each represents about one third of its business, said co-owner Jean-Pierre Pigéon, Dean’s brother. He pegged annual sales at $20 million now, up from $18 million before the COVID pandemic slump.
Catering has the company preparing and supplying food to wedding receptions, business meetings and other one-time events — some scheduled, some not. It assembled and delivered 10,000 box lunches for just about every non-NFL employee working at the Superdome for the 2013 Super Bowl, from the parking attendants to the FBI agents in the catwalk, Dean Pigéon said. It was also hired for emergency feeding of Boh Bros. Construction Co. workers after Hurricane Katrina, and for Entergy Corp. workers after Hurricane Ida.
The company's food services segment sees Pigéon cooking and delivering lunches under contract to 16 local school cafeterias and preparing food for big hotels such as the Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott and Westin. Hotel labor shortages since the pandemic have helped boost Pigéon’s business, O’Brien said.
“They’ve had some good longevity with their employees,” she said.
More obscure is Pigéon's private label food manufacturing.
Kitchen extension
Here's how that works: Say a locally owned restaurant with multiple locations serves a unique dish but has insufficient kitchen space to make it. Pigéon accepts the propriety recipe, scales it up, prepares it and delivers the food to the restaurants in big plastic bags, chilled or frozen depending on the dish.
There, kitchen staffers perform only the final steps before the food appears on diners’ plates. Spinach dip, bread pudding and red beans are three examples.
“If you’ve got eight different locations, you’ve got eight different people cooking that spinach dip,” Dean Pigéon said. “If you do it this way, you’re going to have the same taste every single time. We’re an extension of their kitchen.”
Pigéon also prepares its own recipes in bulk, under the label Carnival Culinary Solutions, and sends those products to grocery stores and big wholesalers such as Sysco Corp. The handwritten spinach cornbread dressing of Dean and Jean-Pierre Pigeon’s mother, for example, is printed on a 2-by-3-foot metal sheet that is displayed at the office.
A growing segment
Pigéon has about 200 full-time equivalent employees, and adds dozens of temporary and occasional workers for big wedding weekends.
The company's market segment is one that's expanded in recent years. Employment in U.S. food manufacturing grew 15% in the past 10 years, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Wages rose 36%.
Jean-Pierre Pigéon foresees more growth. The company now turns out about 4 million pounds of food a year; the new home will have capacity of 20 million pounds.
To that end, contractors are rebuilding the inside of the former Taaka vodka building in Old Jefferson. Unlike Pigéon’s current headquarters in Mid-City, it will have considerable parking, loading docks and a retail store. The company’s in-house chef and its nutritionist will have more space, as will the on-site U.S. Department of Agriculture inspector.
You want cold storage? The new site has a single refrigerated chamber with an 18-foot-high ceiling and a staggering 8,000 square feet of floor space, almost half again the size of a basketball court.
Pigéon started planning the expansion and consolidation after Hurricane Ida, in 2021.
“We’re so inefficient with three locations,” Jean-Pierre Pigéon said.
The brothers hope to start moving the company in August.

Viewers will meet Leah’s grandson, Edgar “Dook” Chase IV, who now oversees the restaurant’s kitchen; her niece Cleo Robinson, who joined Leah in the kitchen in 1980; and the restaurant’s newest chef, Leah’s great-granddaughter Zoe Chase. Paired with some of the menus are specialty cocktails crafted by Leah’s granddaughter Eve Marie Haydel, the restaurant’s beverage manager who has updated drink recipes from the restaurant’s earlier days. Granddaughter Chase Kamata narrates. Each 30-minute episode explores a new take on Creole classics and a different chapter of the restaurant’s history.

OMAHA, Neb. (BRPROUD) – Baton Rouge attorney Gordan McKernan has increased the College World Series jello shot record for LSU.
The CWS Jello Shot Challenge account said on Twitter that McKernan bought 8,888 rally shots on Monday, June 26.
The account tweeted, “Records are meant to be broken, especially those that support charities! In the meantime, remember to drink responsibly and #GetItDone Tigers!”
The account teased that someone was going to prove that they believe in the power of rally shots on Sunday, June 25.
McKernan isn’t the only Louisiana native to help LSU break the jello shot record. On June 19, Todd Graves, the founder of Raising Cane’s and an LSU alum, bought 6,000 shots.
In total, 31,215 shots were sold as part of the challenge last year.
Graves helped bring LSU’s 2023 numbers up to 21,435, which has just kept climbing. As of 11:52 a.m. June 26, LSU fans had bought more than 50,000 shots at Rocco’s Pizza in Omaha.
The owners donate proceeds for the challenge to food banks.

When looking at old photographs of downtown New Orleans it is not uncommon to see some mention of tobacco in the form of a cigar store. One such venture is pictured here in an unattributed photograph from around 1898. Proprietor Manuel Suarez sits behind the counter of his shop at Baronne Street near Gravier Street. Nearly every inch of space is filled with imported cigars of all makes and manufacture.
Some of the brand names that I could discern from a closer examination of the photo are Melachrino, El Cubo, Chancellor, Van Dyck, Ruy Lopez, La Prefencia, El Far, Owl, Fatima, New Batchelor, Havana Ribbon, Satin, Abbey, Webster, and Choctaw. His inventory also included cigarettes and plug tobacco.
It was interesting to note that there were no local cigar brands on display such as La Belle Creole made by Simon Hernsheim or any of the popular products manufactured by William Irby. New Orleans was a huge tobacco market. In 1880, the third largest manufacturing concern in the city was tobacco where 55 companies produced cigars by the thousand daily. Being quite labor intensive it is not surprising that there were 1,125 people engaged in the tobacco trade.
Manuel Suarez was a native of Asturias, Spain, who came to New Orleans at the age of fourteen where he learned the manufacture of cigars. He eventually established a cigar factory on Gravier Street in 1858. He married the daughter of the noted dueling instructor Pepe Lula which led to him becoming the sexton of the St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery (often called Pepe Lula’s cemetery) as well as the Louisa Street Cemetery.
Suarez died at his home at 8141 Urquhart Street on December 16, 1902, at the age 64.

THEN: First of all, yes, there really was someone named Commander: Emile Commander. His father, Pietro Camarda, chose the American-sounding surname when he emigrated to New Orleans from the Italian island of Ustica in 1852. In January 1893, Emile Commander opened a saloon and restaurant at Washington Avenue and Coliseum Street in the building that would become Commander's Palace Restaurant. According to a newspaper advertisement at the time, the saloon offered "bayou cook oysters"
NOW: The Brennan family bought the restaurant in 1969. Under the leadership of Ella Brennan, the family matriarch, Commander's Palace has become an incubator of culinary talent for chefs such as Paul Prudhomme, Emeril Lagasse, Jamie Shannon, Frank Brigtsen, Anne Kearney, Greg and Mary Sonnier, and Tory McPhail.

Every time I enjoy Louisiana strawberries, I can't help but think of the incredible amount of hard physical labor that goes into getting from farm to table. This Russell Lee photograph from 1939 depicts a young migrant field worker on a strawberry farm near Hammond, possibly Ponchatoula. He spends his leisure time playing a guitar, but he is not alone. He shares his tent with a woman as evidenced by the straw hat on the bed behind him and at least two pairs of ladies’ shoes mixed in with his under the bed. Few men would consider a wooden rolling pin to be a camp essential, but a woman would and hers is stored on the lower shelf in the bottom center of the image. A difficult, desperate, and lonely existence in an America on the verge of entering World War II.

HEAT ADVISORY ISSUED IN CITY OF NEW ORLEANS FOR
City of New Orleans Opens Emergency Cooling Centers As Excessive Heat Warning Continues
NEW ORLEANS —The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued an Excessive Heat Warning for the second consecutive day on Saturday, June 17. The weather forecast indicates that high humidity levels will result in heat index values – that is, temperatures that “feel like” degrees in New Orleans – of 108-116 degrees, while overnight heat indices range between 86-93 degrees.
EMERGENCY COOLING CENTERS
In coordination with the New Orleans Health Department and New Orleans Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, the City of New Orleans is coordinating the use of three New Orleans Recreation Development facilities as “emergency cooling centers” that allow individuals to seek respite from the dangerously hot temperatures. The following locations will be available from Sunday and Monday, June 18-19, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.:
- Joe Brown Recreation Center, 5601 Read Blvd.
- Rosenwald Recreation Center, 1120 S. Broad Ave.
- Morris FX Jeff Park, 2529 General Meyer Ave.
HYDRATION STATIONS
NOLA Ready is working with the New Orleans Fire Department to set-up hydration stations in areas with limited resources. Individuals in need of water and sunscreen are encouraged to stop by the following locations from Saturday-Monday, June 17-19, between 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.:
- NOFD Engine 10, 14069 Morrison Rd.
- NOFD Squirt 04, 6900 Downman Rd.
- NOFD Engine 17, 4115 Woodland Dr.
- NOFD Engine 8, 3300 Florida Blvd.
NOLA Ready also seeks volunteers to run the hydration station operation. Shifts are four hours each (11 a.m. – 3 p.m. and 3 p.m. – 7 p.m.). More information can be found at

NOLA READY HEAT RELIEF MAP
Earlier this week, the City of New Orleans launched the NOLA Ready Heat Relief Map, which can be found at ready.nola.gov. This interactive map lists locations with free water and free, indoor air-conditioned locations for the general public. Individuals in need of heat relief should check this interactive map for updated information on hydration stations or cooling centers.
Businesses or organizations that are willing to act as a free community cooling site should email [email protected] with the address, dates, and hours to be added to the map.

Individuals seeking refuge during the daytime may visit the following locations on Sunday, June 18:

SUSPENSION OF SERVICE DISCONNECTIONS
Entergy New Orleans does not disconnect on days that the National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory, which is expected to last through June 20, 2023. Residents can call 1-800-ENTERGY to report outages. The Sewerage & Water Board of New Orleans (SWBNO) will also suspend shut offs for delinquent accounts on Friday, June 16 through Monday, June 19 due to the Juneteenth holiday. Please call 52-WATER to report any water or sewer emergencies.
SAFETY TIPS
These hot temperatures can become life-threatening if the proper precautions are not taken. Residents can visit weatherwise.nola.gov to find localized updates on weather conditions when considering outdoor activities. Residents are advised to take the following precautions to prevent health emergencies due to overexposure to extreme heat:
- Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside
- When possible, reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or evening
- Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke
- Wear lightweight and loose-fitting clothing when possible
- To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air-conditioned environments
- Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency! Call 9 1 1
- Children and pets should never be left unattended in a vehicle. Even in 70-degree weather, the interior temperature of a vehicle can increase rapidly to over 100 degrees in just 20 minutes. Cracking a window does not help
- Leaving a child or pet unattended in a vehicle often leads to a life-threatening emergency. Anyone who sees a child or animal unattended in a vehicle is urged to call 9-1-1 immediately

Starting on May 29, the water park will be open daily until Aug. 5, when returns to weekends-only operation. The park closes for the season in September.

Audubon Zoo guests will be able to cool off twice a day at the water park from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 5 p.m. each day. The Cool Zoo closes every day from 1 to 2 p.m. for cleaning and maintenance.
All the fan-favorite features will be there: the alligator water slide, the spider monkey soaker, water-spitting snakes and shady spots for adults.
The Gator Run lazy river offers visitors the option to cool down by floating atop a tube along a 750-foot long course that is 3-feet deep and 10-feet wide. It also features two sand beaches and water cannons that can be used to spray other visitors as they float on down the river. It also includes showers, restrooms, lockers, outdoor seating, a private area for nursing mothers and the "Gator Bites'' concession stand.
Rafts are included in the admission price for Gator Run, and anyone shorter than 48 inches will need a life jacket supplied by Audubon Zoo.
Outside food and drinks are welcomed in both Cool Zoo and Gator Run, but the size of coolers and ice chests cannot exceed 28 quarts. Glass containers and disposable straws and lids are not permitted for the safety of the zoo's animals. Audubon may search coolers.

Cool Zoo tickets can be purchased online and at the zoo's front gate. Regular admission to Cool Zoo, including Gator Run, is $9 for Audubon Nature Institute Members and $12 for non-members, plus Audubon Zoo admission.

About the Exhibition
In 1776, many colonists made a great leap to a new idea: maybe they could do without monarchy and aristocracy. If they could unite with one another, “the common people” of the colonies might form a more equal society and government. American Democracy: A Great Leap of Faith, a traveling exhibition from the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service, examines the continuing evolution of America’s experiment in a government “of, by, and for the people.” The exhibition will be on view at The Historic New Orleans Collection from June 17, 2023, to October 8, 2023. Admission is free.
Drawn from the permanent exhibition of the same name at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History, American Democracy explores the challenges and triumphs that generations of Americans encountered as they sought to create a government based on the sovereignty of the people. It explores the history of citizen participation, debate, and compromise from the nation’s formation to today.
Featuring engaging multimedia experiences, immersive design, and artifacts from the Smithsonian Institution, state historical organizations, and The Historic New Orleans Collection, American Democracy demonstrates that self-government relies on every citizen’s active participation in the quest to form a “more perfect union.” Exhibition sections explore the origins of American democracy, the changing identity of eligible voters, the machinery of democracy, the right to petition and protest beyond the ballot, and the rights and responsibilities of citizens.
American Democracy is sponsored locally by the 2023 Bienville Circle, J.P.Morgan Private Bank, and WDSU-TV.
A companion exhibition, “Yet She Is Advancing”: New Orleans Women and the Right to Vote, 1878–1970, is on view through November 5, 2023. Expanding on a 2020 virtual exhibition on THNOC’s website, the exhibition tells a decades-long story through objects, images, documents, and interactive displays—and through the words of the New Orleans women who for nearly 100 years persisted in their struggle to obtain the vote

June 27- Bootid Meteor Shower Maximum
June’s Bootid meteor shower begins on June 22, but it is expected to reach its peak rate of meteors around 7 PM EDT on June 27. The Bootid meteors should be visible when the constellation Bootes is just above the horizon. The moon will be in its first quarter phase at the shower’s peak, and will set at about 1:30 in the morning, making for minimal light interference later in the night.
June’s Bootid meteor shower was created by the comet 7P/Pons-Winnecke and expected to last until July 2.
The same skygazing rules that apply to pretty much all space-watching activities are key this month: Go to a dark spot away from the lights of a city or town and let the eyes adjust to the darkness for about a half an hour. Then, just sit back and let the summer skies dazzle.

Sam started growing sprouts in his kitchen 14 years ago. He fell in love with the process of growing and harvesting. He has now been in business for a decade and grows at least an acre or two of gardens every year. Sam has a passion for helping people and aims to inspire new young farmers in the industry. Wine tastings go pro at Commander’s Palace
A summer program at Commander’s Palace, 1403 Washington Ave., (504) 899-8221, gives wine lovers a chance to sample a range of wines like a pro.
The events, called CP Sips, turn a portion of the Garden District restaurant into a self-guided tour of offerings from different distributors, and people can order more of the ones they liked best to have at home later. Each includes 40 or so wines, and also cheeses and small tastes from the kitchen.
Dan Davis, the resident “wine guy” at Commander’s Palace, works with seven distributors and local retailer Swirl Wine Bar and Market to make sure wines served at the tasting are available for people to find again.
The June 28 edition has crisp summer choices, the July 26 event is focused on California wines and Aug. 30 brings wines from across the Mediterranean. All are from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Burgundy icons have launched projects in Oregon, and super-Tuscan legends have been working the land in Argentina’s Patagonia region. And lately, French winemakers are foraying into South African wine country. Though the climates—and terroirs—may be wildly different, established French vintners are currently creating some of South Africa’s most exciting wines.
Today it goes further than that, as large French wine businesses are beginning to invest heavily in South African wine estates. Why? What are they finding there that you should know too? Well, Dr Edo Heyns, director and head of strategic development for Advini, a French wine company, will be with us on Friday, June 23rd to discuss what this French heritage and modern investment mean for the world of fine wines. He is a winemaker himself, former editor of South Africa’s largest wine magazine, and holds a business Ph.D. from the University of Stellenbosch on innovation in the South African wine industry, specifically focusing on family businesses. The Cultural Family of Economy Hall is a new exhibit opening on June 29, 2023 from 5- 7 p.m. at Xavier University of Louisiana. The collection of photographs, documents, and curios displays the music, social, and political activities that took place in the famed jazz venue for more than a century.
Images include journal pages written in French by Economy Society members, photos of band members like the Piron and Peerless orchestras that played in the hall, and images of a recent gathering with members’ great- and great-great grandchildren on Xavier’s campus by photographers Cedric Ellsworth, Girard Mouton, and Sophia Little.
The exhibit shows the range of activities that took place in Economy Hall. Two pages from books in the Economy’s library include a French edition about the first President of Haiti and a world atlas, both published before the Civil War.
An image from the 1865 convention of the Friends of Universal Suffrage in the hall documents the formation of the Louisiana Republican party, which led to Reconstruction.
A 19th century voter registration document, signed by an Economy Society secretary, is reproduced as well.
Visitors will also see the photos of descendants of Battle of New Orleans soldiers, 19th century undertakers, musicians and more.
The Cultural Family of Economy Hall doesn’t just include biological descendants but people who carry out the hall’s musical legacy in opera and second lines.
This exhibition is supported by The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival; The Platforms Fund of Antenna, Ashé Cultural Art Center, Junebug Productions and the Andy Warhol Foundation; and Xavier University of Louisiana; and displays documents and photos courtesy of The Historic New Orleans Collection, the Xavier University of Louisiana Archives & Special Collections, The Hogan Archive of New Orleans Music and New Orleans Jazz, and the private collections of the Rosenberg, Hebert, Bozeman/Cangoletti, and Shaik-Little families.

Music lovers are invited to City Park for the popular Thursdays at Twilight concert series. Bring your friends and enjoy mint juleps and array of musicians indoors at the Pavilion of the Two Sisters (1 Victory Avenue, NOLA 70124). Admission is $15. Celebrate Independence Day on the Mandeville Lakefront

The free event includes a patriotic tribute, music by Rockin’ Dopsie, Jr., kids tent and photo booth. This lecture will cover the English Victorian poets Alfred, Lord Tennyson and Robert Browning and how some of their most famous poems demonstrate an increasing fascination with the human psyche during the 19th century. Attendees will explore how Tennyson's and Browning's Victorian-era works address how loss, grief, depression, and even sociopathy might manifest in the minds of their poetic speakers.

This lecture will cover the English Victorian poets Elizabeth Barrett Browning and Christina Rossetti and their contributions to the English sonnet tradition. Attendees will explore how Barrett Browning's Sonnets from the Portuguese and Rossetti's Monna Innominata are groundbreaking sonnet sequences which offer women's voices responding to and reimagining the sonnet traditions named for Petrarch and Shakespeare.
Dr. Cognevich has a master's in English literature from the University of New Orleans and a doctoral degree in English literature from Louisiana State University. She taught English literature and writing for more than a decade. Her scholarly specialties include Romantic and Victorian poetry. Her doctoral thesis focused on the late-18th-century British sonnet revival and poet Charlotte Smith, who was one of William Wordsworth's early inspirations.

The New Orleans Saints will begin their 57th NFL season on July 24 when the team's veteran players report to training camp at the team’s training facility in Metairie, multiple sources said this week.
The team's rookies will report the previous week.
An official announcement by the team with practice times and availability to the public is expected to be made at a later date.
The Saints will conduct their official conditioning test July 25 and conduct noncontact practices in jerseys and helmets for the next two days, as mandated by the NFL’s official ramp-up period. The team will practice in helmets and shells on July 28-29 and move to full pads on July 31 after an off day in the schedule.
In Week 2 of their exhibition schedule, the Saints will conduct joint practices against the Los Angeles Chargers. The workouts will be Aug. 17-18 at the Chargers training camp site in Costa Mesa, California.
The Saints will practice against the Houston Texans from Aug. 24-25 in Metairie before the teams’ final preseason game on Aug. 27. These practices will not be open to the public.

BREES DREAM FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES NOLA PICKLEBALL FEST
Annual event to be held at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center to serve as a major fundraiser for the Brees Dream Foundation
Brittany and Drew Brees announced today the creation of The NOLA Pickleball Fest, an annual event benefiting the Brees Dream Foundation. The inaugural event will be held August 10-13, 2023, at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Brees and the staff of the Brees Dream Foundation have been working closely with local tourism leaders at the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation, New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, and New Orleans & Company, as well as national companies Joola and The Kitchen, to organize all aspects of the event.
“Brittany and I could not be more excited to bring the first annual NOLA Pickleball Fest to New Orleans,” says Drew Brees. Combining one of the fastest growing and most enjoyable sports alongside a city that knows how to host a party will make this one of the premier events of the summer. It will be great food, music, events, and plenty of pickleball all inside the Convention Center, as we crown amateur champions and raise proceeds for the Brees Dream Foundation that will go towards our ongoing efforts in New Orleans.”
The NOLA Pickleball Fest (“The NOLA”) benefitting the Brees Dream Foundation is a unique, festival-style pickleball tournament featuring 24 tournament quality PickleRoll courts, live music, a celebrity exhibition match featuring Drew Brees, VIP experiences and much more. The NOLA will have three divisions of round robin play: women’s doubles, men’s doubles, and mixed doubles for skill levels 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, and 5.0+. There are two brackets to compete in: Open and 40 yrs. old and over. Pickleball originated in the Pacific Northwest in the 1960s and combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong. It is the fastest-growing sport in the United States with annual increases of millions of people playing, according to a 2023 participation report by the Association of Pickleball Professionals.
