Bay Area Crisis Nursery is Celebrating 5 Years with the Lafayette Chamber!
The Bay Area Crisis Nursery (BACN) provides a safe place for young children when families are facing overwhelming challenges. BACN supports local families with free, short-term childcare, emergency shelter services, and respite care, giving parents the time and stability they need to get back on their feet. In 2025 alone, the Nursery provided more than 31,000 hours of care, supporting 224 children and 166 families.
In addition to childcare, BACN supports families through its Family Resource Navigation Services, Fresh Produce Market & Food Pantry, Diaper Bank, and the BACN Boutique, offering free case management services, food, diapers, clothing, and much more. This work is made possible by a caring community of donors, partners, and volunteers.
