“Coffee” with the City of Lafayette Mayor and Vice Mayor
Last month, the Lafayette City Council set its top priorities for the year ahead, which will help shape the City of Lafayette’s plan and budget beginning July 1.
Join Mayor Carl Anduri and Vice Mayor John McCormick for an update on what the Council prioritized and why, followed by live Q&A.
We’ll cover:
- Wildfire preparedness: Reducing fire risk, strengthening evacuation planning, and improving coordination with regional partners like ConFire.
- Mt. Diablo Blvd. and downtown improvements: Improving traffic flow, parking strategy, and safer pedestrian and bike access to better connect residents and visitors with our downtown businesses.
- Future of our recreation facilities: Evaluating options for the aging Community Center, addressing our athletic field shortage, and identifying financially sustainable solutions.
These priorities have real implications for residents and our local business community. This is an opportunity to hear directly from City leadership and ask questions about what’s ahead.
❓ Questions may be submitted in advance to holly@lafayettechamber.org or asked live during the Zoom session.

California Business Advocacy Academy with CalChamber
Advocacy matters.
Recently, the Chamber's Executive Director, Sara Regan, participated in the inaugural California Business Advocacy Academy with CalChamber. Over the past several months, she joined chamber and business leaders from across California to deepen her understanding of the legislative process and the role chambers play in advocating for strong local economies.
The program concluded with a visit to the State Capitol and a recognition from Assemblymember Josh Hoover. Seeing the legislative process up close was a powerful reminder of how important advocacy is for our business community!
Sara is excited to bring what she's learned back to support the businesses and community she serves at the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce.
Stronger voices. Stronger businesses. Stronger communities.
