You are invited to attend our November 14, 2025 Lafayette Chamber Business Seminar: From Vision to Action at the Lafayette Library and Learning Center in the Don Tatzin Community Hall (3491 Mt. Diablo Blvd). This 3-hour business seminar is free for all current Lafayette Chamber Members and is $30 for guests and non-members.
This interactive seminar includes three sessions during which participants will learn how to create a compelling vision, translate it into an actionable growth plan, and use AI tools to accelerate execution.
It's a great opportunity to connect with fellow Chamber members, gain fresh insights, and position your business for success in 2026 and beyond!

Studio Belmont Ribbon Cutting
Studio Belmont had a joyous ribbon cutting, co-hosted by the Lafayette and Walnut Creek Chambers, on October 27. They have rebranded from Belmont Hardware, after a successful 88 years in business!
Studio Belmont, at 1279 Boulevard Way, Walnut Creek, is a fantastic source for luxury plumbing, hardware, lighting, and homewares, and is trusted by design professionals all over Northern California.

Mt. Diablo Business Women Host An Evening of Fashion & Fun
Mt. Diablo Business Women (MDBW) invite you to An Evening of Fashion and Fun where you can enjoy networking, shopping, and light refreshments. The event will feature members modeling outfits for the holidays, either from the Discovery Shop, or their own outfits that they will donate to the store.

Lamorinda Care Collective - Supporting Local Families This Holiday Season
What began as a two-week kindness pop-up has grown into a volunteer-powered community initiative serving thousands of families, some traveling from as far as Sacramento and Stockton. Lamorinda Care Collective's mission remains simple: help every family access the essentials that make a house feel like home.
As the holidays approach, we invite schools, workplaces, neighborhoods, and local groups to join us in spreading care and comfort this season:
🎁 Donate New Toys: Help parents share the joy of the holidays. Organize a toy drive or clean out your gift closet!
🍎 Donate Food & Toiletries: Rising costs have increased demand for staples like diapers, shampoo, and canned goods. Every donation helps families avoid tough choices.
Open for shopping & donations now through Dec 21, 2025 on Wednesdays 8:30–10:30am and Sundays 3–6pm at 1005 Oak Hill Rd., Lafayette.

Free Microchip and Vaccine Clinic for Dogs and Cats
Sunday, November 16 • 9am
Concord City Hall Parking Lot, 1950 Parkside Drive
Contra Costa Animal Services, the City of Concord, and Joybound People & Pets are partnering to offer a free community clinic for pets. Services will include rabies vaccines (dogs/cats), DHPP (dogs), FVRCP (cats), and free microchipping to help pets stay healthy and safe.
Additionally, free pet food will be available courtesy of Joybound People & Pets. Assistance will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last.

White Pony Express Star Program
White Pony Express is excited to announce the launch of its 6th annual Star Program, made possible through partnerships with local businesses. This unique holiday initiative brings hope and warmth to individuals and families across the county during the season of giving. Each hand-decorated star highlights a specific item needed by an adult or child facing hardship, creating an opportunity for the community to contribute directly to those in need.
Your business can display the stars in any creative way you choose. Clients and friends can select a star and purchase the item listed. White Pony Express will schedule a time to pick up the gifts which will be beautifully wrapped and delivered with love to our neighbors in need. In this way, we can all make the holiday season sparkle a little brighter!

Can You Help a Lamorinda Neighbor?
The Lamorinda Spirit Van is seeking volunteer drivers to help local older adults (age 60+) get to medical appointments, run errands, shop for groceries, and more.
If you’re age 25–75, have a good driving record, and a few free hours in the morning, mid-day, or afternoon—once a week or even just occasionally—they’d love to hear from you! Contact Riki to learn more.

- Board of Supervisors to consider taking action this Tuesday to assist the 107,020 County residents losing CalFresh/SNAP benefits because of Federal Government shutdown.

The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors will hold a special ceremony, Remembering Our Heroes, at 11am on Tuesday, November 4, in the Board Chambers at 1025 Escobar Street in Martinez to honor 80 years since World War II.

The Contra Costa County Office of Education’s Wellness in Schools Program will host a virtual Parent Liaison Collaborative meeting on Thursday, November 6, from 1–2:30pm, bringing together school staff to share best practices and strengthen family-school-community partnerships.

Scouting America’s 37th annual Scouting for Food drive takes place Saturday, November 15, with Scouts across the Bay Area collecting curbside food donations to support local food banks and families in need.

The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors has rescheduled the Community Impact Fund discussion to November 18 to allow for more outreach and community input, with updates on the Community Survey and budget impacts to be shared during the meeting.

Contra Costa County Public Works will close Pinehurst Road between Canyon Road and Skyline Boulevard from 9am-3:30pm, Monday through Thursday, through November 6, 2025, for ongoing road work, with detours and electronic message boards in place.
