Dear Mid-Atlantic District Family,
As I am looking to begin 2026 as the new District Superintendent, I am firmly convinced that Kari and I need a prayer support team to fulfill the responsibilities that God has asked of us. What do you think? Do you want to join? We appreciate each one of you and would love for you to be on our prayer support team!
What I am picturing is a group of people who will commit to pray for us as often as you are reminded of us. I will regularly share updates with you by email or by text message and ask you to keep the information I share private unless otherwise instructed. Think of this as you do an International Worker that you regularly pray for. This is NOT an opportunity to receive the latest gossip from around the District. I am looking for teammates who want to still fight well with me.
If this piques your interest and you want to join the Ira and Kari Prayer Support Team, then you can sign up online at the following link:
https://form.jotform.com/252816596416062
This is a “Jotform” and I only need a little information…name, email, and phone number. It is ok if this is not for you! God has other areas where you can continue to serve.
Together, with you
Ira and Kari Towns
District Superintendent elect for the Mid-Atlantic District

The District Executive Committee met on Oct 21, 2025 for a regularly scheduled quarterly meeting. In addition to prayer, DEXCOM spent time celebrating the following ways God is moving in our district:
-
After district conference, several pastors showed interest in the Church Evangelism Institute Cohort. If you would like to join this group, email Pastor Steve Kim at stephen.kim@greatcommissioncc.org
- Several church plants continuing to grow and developing churches are moving towards being fully accredited.
- We also want to formally thank Rev. Doug Conley for his hard work as the DEXCOM chair and appreciate his leadership of our team for the past 11 years. DEXCOM spent intentional time with Rev. Conley, hearing his thoughts and desires for our district as he ends his time as our District Superintendent.
The next DEXCOM meeting is scheduled for January 27, 2026.

We are excited to announce that our new promo video for called2serve.org is now available on the Alliance website.
Visit https://cmalliance.org/resources/#called2serve to access and download the video directly.
The goal with the called2serve promo video is two-fold. First, it exists to help churches understand where to send people when they are feeling a call toward ministry and need guidance on getting started. Secondly, it’s designed to introduce people called to ministry to their next steps and encourage them to get started on their path toward Alliance ministry.
For more information, reach out to the Candidate Recruitment and Development Team at called2serve@cmalliance.org
