The Better Path: Finding Your Way Out of Depression

You don’t have to stay stuck. There is a better path—and you can take it.

The Better Path is a powerful, hope-filled guide for anyone battling the heavy weight of depression.

Whether you feel lost, numb, overwhelmed, or simply tired of pretending you're okay, this book meets you where you are—and gently walks with you toward where you could be.

Written with empathy, honesty, and a deep understanding of emotional pain, The Better Path offers more than just coping strategies. It offers perspective, purpose, and practical tools to help you find clarity, peace, and light again.

Inside this book, you’ll discover:

  • How to recognize the lies depression tells—and how to replace them with truth
  • Ways to reconnect with yourself, others, and your purpose
  • Faith-centered encouragement without judgment
  • Small steps that lead to real transformation
  • Reflections and journaling prompts to help you process your journey

Whether your depression is recent or something you've carried for years, The Better Path is a companion that believes in your healing. It doesn’t sugarcoat the struggle—but it also doesn’t leave you in the dark.

There is a way forward. And it’s better than you think.

You can get a copy of The Better Path by Rev. Dr Bruce A. Overstreet on Amazon.

Pastoral Financial Health Initiative

A comprehensive national survey conducted among Alliance official workers indicated that pastors with at least $5,000 in emergency savings experience diminished financial stress. In contrast, the presence of multiple debt sources exceeding $5,000 correlates with increased levels of stress. This scenario presents an opportunity for Church Multiplication to endeavor towards providing effective solutions.

During the upcoming Council, we will unveil the Pastoral Financial Health Initiative (PFHI). This initiative is designed to assist official workers in improving their financial well-being. In partnership with Orchard Alliance, we will provide financial education, grants, and coaching aimed at cultivating an environment conducive to financial health and responsible stewardship.

Are your official workers facing some financial challenges? Are they curious about how well their financial plan is working for them? Would they find it helpful to learn more about investing or ways to relieve debt? This program is designed to support all our official workers. It's an excellent resource for those experiencing financial hardships and those who feel secure but want to enhance their knowledge about financial health.
