March 28 DEXCOM Meeting Recap
The District Executive Committee met in person on March 28th, 2023 for a regularly scheduled quarterly meeting. In addition to prayer, DEXCOM reviewed and discussed reports from District committees and personnel.

The following were among the actions taken by DEXCOM:
  • Delegated LOCC to address the current policy requiring licensed workers to attend conferences in its entirety. DEXCOM also reemphasized the importance of church boards and pastors making this a priority.
  • Reviewed our conversation regarding updates to the Church Health Team Philosophy of Church Care.
  • Discussed ways that our district can invest in church planting efforts and churches wanting to expand their ministries. We are excited to pray and partner with these churches as they are intentional about reaching their communities.

DEXCOM also spent the day sitting in a posture of dependency on Jesus. This became the theme of our time as we prayerfully made decisions, took faith filled risks, and tried to listen well to the Holy Spirit throughout the day. Our next regularly scheduled meeting will be June 20th.

Great Commission Day 2023
When your church gives to the 2023 Great Commission Day Offering, it launches gospel presence among lost, suffering, and overlooked people in the world's remaining hard places.

Choose a day or weekend before June 30 for your church to come together in prayer and giving to send the good news—in word and deed—to places where it has yet to be shared.

By now you should have received a poster and an invitation to help promote GC Day to your congregation. The rest of this year’s campaign resources will be made available in a digital format. These resources—which include printable bulletin inserts, video segments, promotional announcements, presentation slides, instructions for your church treasurer, and campaign graphics—will enable you to promote the offering during Sunday morning worship or through email, social media, and any other digital communications used by your church.
Links to these digital resources can be found at cmalliance.org/gcday and have been emailed to your church.

Email communications@cmalliance.org with any questions.

September is Church Multiplication Month
Multiplication is core to the mission of the Church. Planting churches has always been—and continues to be—the best way to win the lost, disciple them into loving, nurturing, communities of faith, and develop them into winsome disciple makers. This is how Christ’s Kingdom is multiplied on earth!

The Alliance is and has always been a church-planting movement, and church multiplication is vital to the fulfillment of our Acts 1:8 mandate and our All of Jesus for All the World vision. God is always opening new windows of opportunity to plant churches among marginalized, least-reached populations in our cities, suburbs, and rural areas. As His people, we seize opportunities to walk through the doors He opens.

This September, The Alliance will be celebrating Multiplication Month. Please plan now to designate one Sunday in September as Church Planting Sunday in your church. Later this year, the National Office Church Multiplication team will be sending digital resources to help you convey the importance of church planting to your congregation and explain how they can be a vital part of a multiplication movement.

Stay tuned!
EquippingU Dynamic Influence
EquippingU Dynamic Influence is a two-year training track for pastors and leaders of Alliance churches with attendance of 200 people or fewer that began in 2022.
Participants will meet online for four two-hour sessions each year. The trainings will cover timely topics, including how small churches can grow during a pandemic. Our goal is to help pastors in small churches find resources, lead well, and help their churches thrive.

The second webinar for 2023 begins May 10, 2023, at 12 p.m. EST. Please register now and don’t miss this wonderful opportunity. We are glad to have you as part of this learning experience.

In this webinar, Karl Vaters, the small church guru, will present on "Finding and Mentoring Volunteers in Today’s (and Tomorrow’s) Small Church." After his presentation, there will be a Q&A session for the participants to interact with the presenter.
Alliance Youth - Pre-Council
Join Alliance Youth for a one-day pre-Council event for youth workers in Spokane, Washington. Today’s student ministries are bombarded with the never-ending cascade of cultural shifts, social changes, and conversations about sexuality and gender.
It can be confusing for the student, paralyzing for families, and overwhelming for youth workers in the Church. Alliance Youth is hosting a training event for youth workers who attend pre-Council on May 29.

We want our next generation Alliance youth workers to have tools to engage in the conversations that we are seeing in our ministries today. At this event, you will be equipped to thrive in ministry amid today’s changing culture.

Alliance youth workers develop the next generation to engage the world with the gospel. We believe that the students in our churches today will greatly influence the gospel’s reach tomorrow. You are on the front lines of helping our students own the future of the Church and lean into the call of God on their lives.

If you work with students or are interested in learning about how to navigate the issues facing the next generation, then this event is for you. Don’t miss this opportunity to be equipped for ministry and connect with other colleagues who are investing in the next generation of Jesus followers.
Plan to arrive by 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 28, as we will begin our time with an ice cream social.
