| | | Church Ministries Nominee for District Superintendent - MAD | |
Dear Official Worker,
Thank you for your prayer support over the last number of months as we have worked through the search process for and selection of a nominee for District Superintendent.
Because the Mid-Atlantic District is currently in redevelopment, the process began with an initial review and vetting by a subset of the DEXCOM. Recommendations were then passed on to the vice president for Church Ministries at the National Office for final consideration.
This letter is to inform you that the decision of the vice president for Church Ministries is to place in nomination Rev. Mark Trinkl for District Superintendent of the Mid-Atlantic District. Mark is currently the lead pastor at Neighborhood Alliance Church in Rockville, Maryland.
Please continue to pray for God’s clear direction in this matter. Elections will take place at the District Conference on Tuesday, October 7, 2025.
Note: It is the opportunity of every official worker or duly appointed District Conference delegate to place additional names in nomination. However, please be informed that those nominations must be vetted with the vice president for Church Ministries through the process defined in the Instructions for Additional Nominees at the District Conference.
Please, read the full Notification Letter.
If you have any questions, please reach out to Rev. Mike Mercurio MMercurio@1stalliancechurch.com

The District Executive Committee met in person and via video conference on July 15, 2025 for a regularly scheduled quarterly meeting. In addition to prayer, DEXCOM reviewed and discussed reports from District committees and personnel.
DEXCOM is celebrating how God has been moving in our District in multiple ways:
-
DEXCOM is celebrating the amazing things God did at LIFE 2025. We had 7 district churches attend. We are encouraging churches to develop a 3yr plan to attend LIFE 2028. We also would like to encourage churches to promote DYR as an excellent onramp to your church attending LIFE.
- We are celebrating two new churches joining our district. Better Life Church in Sterling VA and International Ethiopian Evangelical Church in Gaithersburg MD.
-
We are celebrating the ways churches are choosing to have conversations about how they can be more strategic and fruitful in their communities. We recognize PEAK as a very helpful tool in these conversations. Email Ira Towns if your church is interested in engaging with this tool.
The next meeting of DEXCOM is scheduled on October 21, 2025.

New Initiative to Support Licensed Workers | |
Licensed workers of The Christian and Missionary Alliance may now apply for a new financial health initiative designed to strengthen their personal well-being. Our pastors and licensed workers in the U.S. may request financial support, professional financial coaching, and even online financial courses at no cost.
To be eligible, applicants must be currently licensed, assigned to a church affiliated with the U.S. C&MA for at least one year, and the church must have contributed to the Great Commission Fund for a minimum of six months. Workers must also have served at their current church for at least one year and be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Eligible applicants must complete an online application, be verified by their district, submit necessary documentation, and complete the required financial literacy courses. The funds can be used to reduce personal debt (student loans, medical, or credit card), prevent mortgage foreclosure, build emergency or vacation savings, or increase retirement contributions. They may not be used for church-related expenses or current educational tuition.
For full details and to apply, visit cmalliance.org/pfhi. Take the next step toward financial peace of mind today!
