Please say a prayer for Judy Jones, a retired IW from Brazil.
''After the weekend of the 4th of July, Judy gradually began feeling unwell. On the last weekend of July, we realized that she was jaundiced; she had pain in her lower right side and had been losing weight. That is the "trifecta" of pancreatic cancer symptoms.
On Monday, July 31, we finally got her admitted to the hospital after tests revealed that her liver numbers were really bad. Turns out that the bile duct was plugged; she had her gall bladder out a few years ago, so the docs knew that we weren't dealing with gall bladder issues. A cat scan revealed a "mass" on her pancreas, contained and on the outside of the pancreas. It's called "borderline pancreatic cancer," and PTL, it had not metastasized. So, with no spreading, the doctors was pretty encouraging.
She was in the hospital for ten days, during which time they put a stent in the plugged duct to get the overflow of bile into her gut and take stress of the pancreas which was highly inflamed. So, the numbers went down, and gradually the yellow tinge faded away. She came home last Wednesday and "home therapy" has helped her get some strength back. At this point, she is getting around with a walker most of the time; she is sleeping fairly well and has gotten back her appetite, but we have to watch what she eats since her liver is still healing.
We see the cancer doc next week and the chemo man after that to begin the round of 6 chemo session, then surgery to remove the tumor, and 6 more sessions to make sure they get all the cancer cells. She was anointed the Sunday before she went into the hospital, and our prayer was that God would be glorified through this situation. Obviously, we are praying for her healing and full recovery. We are asking God to "disappear" the mass as a witness to the medical staff and all who are praying for her.''

If your pastor has just resigned, your church is at the threshold of change. There’s an interim or liminal period between now and when your new pastor arrives.
Interim Pastor Ministries help supply temporary pastors during times of pastoral transition to strengthen and prepare your church for greater effectiveness when the new pastor arrives.
IPM President, Tom Harris, has produced a new 3-minute video with helpful information about IPM.

September is Church Multiplication Month
|
Multiplication is more than just planting churches. In the Great Commission, Jesus charges His Church to go and make disciples. Together, disciplemaking and church planting form a powerful force to foster the growth of believers and expansion of God's Kingdom.
This year, The Alliance is celebrating September as a month of multiplication with the theme Now, multiply. Whether it is the focus of your entire service or a 5–10 minute highlight of church planting and multiplication, you can choose any Sunday in September for your church to host Church Planting Sunday.
Below you will find resources to help plan and promote your Church Planting Sunday, including a sermon outline, talking points, a PowerPoint template, social media graphics, and more.
The Alliance is and has always been a church-planting and disciplemaking movement. And multiplication is the most strategic way to fulfill our All of Jesus for All the World vision in our neighborhoods and the nations. God is at work and on the move, and the time is now. to move with Him. Will you join us in sharing the importance of multiplication in fulfilling God’s mission?
