Rev. Douglas G. Conley,

District Superintendent.

Dear Official Worker,

Thank you for your prayer support over the last number of months as we have worked through the search process for and selection of a nominee for District Superintendent.

Because the Mid-Atlantic District is currently in redevelopment, the process began with an initial review and vetting by a subset of the DEXCOM. Recommendations were then passed on to the vice president for Church Ministries at the National Office for final consideration.

This letter is to inform you that the decision of the vice president for Church Ministries is to place in nomination Rev. Mark Trinkl for District Superintendent of the Mid-Atlantic District. Mark is currently the lead pastor at Neighborhood Alliance Church in Rockville, Maryland.

Please continue to pray for God’s clear direction in this matter. Elections will take place at the District Conference on Tuesday, October 7, 2025.

Note: It is the opportunity of every official worker or duly appointed District Conference delegate to place additional names in nomination. However, please be informed that those nominations must be vetted with the vice president for Church Ministries through the process defined in the Instructions for Additional Nominees at the District Conference.

Please, read the full Notification Letter.

SAVE THE DATE — SEPTEMBER IS MULTIPLICATION MONTH!

We are thrilled to invite you and your congregation to join us for the 2025 Multiplication Month this September!

On a Sunday of your choice in September, we encourage you to plan a Church Planting Sunday to emphasize the importance of church planting in reviving and multiplying the Church.

Resources will be available by early August. So save the date and stay tuned for more details coming soon.

Greetings from CRD,

We wanted to share a new video resource that was developed by the C&MA development team to promote Called2Serve.org - our recruitment website!

In the annual report we ask churches to answer -

Are you using the Called2Serve.org website for those who have expressed God’s call to ministry?

In 2023 we saw that the percentage of churches who answered yes to this question on the annual report was 15% and this year our number went up a bit to 19%.

We have been working on educating churches in how to use called2serve.org for anyone who is interested in knowing more about serving in ministry.

Called2serve has been used for over 10 years to direct people with calling in the Alliance to their next steps towards Alliance church ministry and Alliance Missions. Our office funnels those names to districts, district mobilizers, AM recruiters and Alliance Chaplains.

Check out the video and feel free to start using it today!
