Welcome to Monday Mail!
From the Principal
Greetings Trickum Community,

Good morning and Happy Monday to you all! As we settle in to digital learning and begin to prepare for the end of the year in this remote environment, our main avenue for parent communication, Monday Mail, has returned to a more "normal" structure. I hope this format continues to provide you with vital communication for all things Trickum.

Our building remains closed to visitors at this time, however, we are present to address your needs via telephone at 770-921-2705. I know many questions remain regarding the end of school processes, however, we are going to hold off any communication regarding those items as long as the Governor's stay-at-home order is in place through April 30th.

As a continued reminder, digital learning assignments will be posted by 10:30am daily. Teachers will also host daily Office Hours where they will be present live to be responsive to assist students. Should your family have difficulty accessing anything, please email your teacher(s) directly for assistance. Additionally, students have assignments daily in all six classes (including connections). Fridays have been reserved for "no new material" so everyone can focus on makeup items, remediation, etc., however, please recognize that we still have school on Fridays and students still have assignments to complete.

For all rising 6th grade parents, please see the information below regarding our scheduled Q&A sessions beginning tonight and continuing each night this week. Please spread the word.

Attention all 8th graders signed up for band:
Marching Band Information Meeting April 14 5PM/8PM

Calling all 8th graders! We are hosting a meeting for parents and students to discuss marching band on April 14th. All 8th graders signed up for band next year should plan to attend one of these meetings (pick a time, meetings are identical).

We will discuss how to register for marching band, details about marching band, and discuss band in general for 9th grade. Every rising 9th grade band student and a parent representative should plan to attend one of these meetings.

Parents, we recommend sharing 1 device and having the whole family watch the meeting. We are so excited to welcome you to our band family next year. Pick the time that fits best for your family. The meetings are identical.

We use the Zoom platform for meetings. If you have not used it before, simply click the link (found in 8th Grade parent emails and on eClass announcements) a few minutes before the start of the meeting on your laptop or phone.
