Pumpkin Fest at Cosley Zoo


Thousands of pumpkins will line the front lawn of Cosley Zoo this October at the zoo's annual Pumpkin Fest, happening October 1-31. Visitors can pick out a pumpkin, sip on cider, purchase various seasonal outdoor decor items, and make new family memories—all while enjoying a visit to the zoo! Cosley Zoo is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day in October.


Regular zoo admission rates apply for Pumpkin Fest. Cosley Zoo is FREE every day for children ages 0-17 and for Wheaton Park District residents of all ages!


Cantigny Fall Fest


For the second year in a row, Cantigny fall festival will be an entire weekend! The fun begins Friday night, October 11, from 4 – 11 pm with live music on the Cantigny parade field! Cozy up on the Adirondacks around a firepit or play lawn games.


Saturday night will be a fun day featuring over 50 craft vendors, hayrides, petting zoo, live music and entertainment, kids’ craft, and pumpkin and plant sales. The three-day festival concludes at 9 pm on Sunday with another full day of colorful, seasonal fun for the whole family.

Ladies & Gents Night Out!


Join Belmont Village for a festive night out! Enjoy wine, cheese and hors d'oeuvres and begin your holiday shopping. In addition to many local vendors, our own "Creative Endeavors" art club residents will sell their handmade jewelry. Raffle prizes will be available with all proceeds benefiting the Alzheimer's Association.

Forest Preserve District Chief of Police Sworn In As President of DuPage Chiefs of Police Association


The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County is pleased to announce that its chief of police, David Pederson, has been selected to serve as president of the DuPage Chiefs of Police Association, a prestigious role he will hold through September 2025.


Chief Pederson’s appointment highlights his commitment to law enforcement excellence and collaboration among police departments across DuPage County.

Join Literacy DuPage for a fun evening filled with delicious food, exciting raffle prizes, and wonderful company—all in support of helping adults achieve their life skill goals through customized English language tutoring.

Christmas Sharing of Wheaton Warrenville


An Annual Christmas Miracle for 55 Years – Christmas Sharing of Wheaton Warrenville provides assistance to our nearby neighbors in need during the Christmas season. We are fundraising now to provide food from the Northern IL Food Bank to more than 750 families. In mid-December, at one of three Distribution Sites, families will also receive new coats, toys, sundry items and gift cards. Phil's Friends Book Signing


Join Phil Zielke, founder of Phil’s Friends, on October 20, 2024 as he celebrates the release of his debut book, “Seeing the Good in It.” The Open House will be at The Moment on Main, 122 N. Main Street, Wheaton, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. 


The evening will include refreshments, entertainment, giveaways, testimonies, a reading by Phil, and book signings. Come hear Phil’s incredibly inspiring story of surviving cancer twice.
