Monday Meditation
…with love from Audrey    (Pastor Audrey Ward)
The friend I spoke of on Sunday who went into Hospice last week, died early Saturday morning in his sleep. All of us hope to go gently into that night like this, of course. Still, I couldn’t help but imagine his family gathered there to be near him and awaking to his having entered into eternal rest.
We are confronted by death in headlines every day, now. There are maps, too, that show us hot spots of the viral outbreaks; photos above the fold on the daily paper or online make it real, seeing caskets lined up. Even though there are no services arranged, no gatherings where we can come to celebrate the person.

Perhaps our task for this day is to take delight in the people who are still within the sound of our voices. Count up the blessings they are to us.

Then? tell them about it in all the ways we can.
Monday Music for the Heart
"The Lord Bless You and Keep You" - John Rutter
"Gaelic Blessing"
"A Clare Benediction"
In these days of social distance, we are called to meet apart.
Still we pray for one another, hold each other in our hearts.
If this time indeed is holy, we must keep it truly so.
Even in our isolation, God’s rich blessings overflow.
We avoid the world’s distractions, set our minds on things above:
Patience, kindness, goodness, mercy, faith, joy peace, abiding love.
