Monday Meditation - 6 April 2020
Meditations for Passion Week 2020
…with love from Audrey        (Pastor Audrey Ward)

This song has been on my mind this week: “He’s Been Faithful to Me.”
We all know how it is, a tune that hangs around; this one, both the soloist and the words keep coming back. When I think of a friend whose family is experiencing conflict, the meaning sings to me; or the story of the ER doc in New York City and his alienation from his wife and children because of contamination, this song comes again.
Well? He’s Been Faithful to Me. And I trust that for each one of us as we sort through the troubles of the future or the experience of the past, we will hear these chords in a meaningful way. I’ve listened to the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir in their home setting; though they have been awarded 4 Grammys for their music, there’s not a whiff of arrogance or strut as they stand to sing. They sing for Jesus; that’s just all there is to it.

Monday Music for the Heart
"He's Been Faithful" - Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir
In these days of social distance, we are called to meet apart.
Still we pray for one another, hold each other in our hearts.
If this time indeed is holy, we must keep it truly so.
Even in our isolation, God’s rich blessings overflow.
We avoid the world’s distractions, set our minds on things above:
Patience, kindness, goodness, mercy, faith, joy peace, abiding love.
