Rise Up Weekend on June 16 - 19 in Lubbock. It features an annual Juneteenth pageant, a parade, music in the park, and more.

Join the Lubbock Chamber at Freedom Fest at Mackenzie Main City Park from 11:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. The free event is for people of all ages. Activities include a kid's zone, information fair, food, merchandise vendors, games, give-a-aways, and music from the Grammy-nominated Don Diego Band.
Lubbock ISD is seeking qualified industry professionals to become Career and Technical Educations (CTE) teachers for the 2022-23 school year.

Positions are aimed to help students train and prepare for future careers. Pay is based on experience and the district will help you become a certified teacher. Lubbock ISD is currently seeking individuals with industry experience for the following positions.

  • Culinary Teacher
  • Construction/Building Trades Teacher
  • Law Enforcement Teacher
  • Health Science Teacher (LVN or RN preferred)
