We are helping push efforts to get more involved in the Toys for Tots Parade this Sunday, hosted by the McHenry Recreation Department. Applications are due this Wednesday. CLICK HERE

The Toys for Tots Parade will be held as part of our Holiday Walk Weekend (November 19th) kicking off from Kane Ave at 1:00pm and making our way down Green Street eventually to Veteran's Memorial Park.

There is no charge to participate BUT:

• All floats MUST be decorated with a Christmas or Holiday theme.
• No Political Entries
• Volunteer Organizations are encouraged.
• For those participating or attending remember the reason; please bring an unwrapped toy and drop it off at Veteran's Memorial Park at the conclusion of the parade. The Marine Corp League will be collecting the toys and all will go to a LOCAL child in need.

Stomping out breast cancer benefit horse show

What: R Double J Ranch in conjunction with Beyond Stables Event Center is hosting a horse show to benefit Brigitte Birong and her family. This is a great cause to help out a truly amazing lady that has done so much for her community. Come have fun in the heated event center and enjoy the horse show, horse drill team performance, bareback bridleless horse demonstration, liberty horse demonstration, food, vendors, silent auction, and raffle baskets. Free admission and open to the public.

What: Looking to get your photo with Santa this holiday? Well, now you can! Join K-Adams Foto this holiday, from 8AM-2PM, on Black Friday, for a $25 professional digital photo of you with Santa. Bring him your letter (download the template on my facebook event), or write one to him, while you are at my studio. I will also have FREE hot cocoa and everyone gets to leave with a candy cane! Kids crafts will be available (while supplies last) and there will be locally made holiday gifts for sale!
