SB2 PATROL UPDATES

SNOWBIRD CHECKLIST - Leaving Town? This is a Must Read

DJI_0643_4_5_WEB.jpg

SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING: If you see suspicious activity please contact the Patrol Duty Truck at (520) 349-5124 (Save our number in your cell phone for easy access).

A DISABLED PLACARD – or license plate is required to be displayed on ANY vehicle using a disabled parking space, including golf carts. Please make sure the tag is clearly visible when it is used. Patrol thanks you!

HYDRATION – as the days start getting warmer, Patrol reminds and encourages you to STAY HYDRATED. As you get older, it’s even more important to stay hydrated. A study from the UCLA School of Nursing found that up to 40% of elderly people may be chronically under hydrated. Appetite and thirst tend to diminish with age, and seniors are more likely to take medications that increase dehydration risk. “Drink 8 glasses a day” is what the National Council on Aging recommends.

SHARING THE ROAD – please be reminded that the ”rules of the road” (actually state laws and ordinances) apply to ALL VEHICLES, including cars, golf carts and bicycles that are required to stop at stop signs, obey speed limits and give pedestrians the right of way. Injury accidents and near-misses occur far too many times every day in our community. Please, please, PLEASE follow the law, be courteous and avoid citations from Patrol!

SAFETY SERIES- NEXT SEMINAR is THIS WEDNESDAY 4/5 AND ON SAFE BODY MOVEMENT Come learn about body safety and safe movement Click here for more details.
