Principal's Message

This second week of Advent is another full one at Holy Trinity.  We had mass today in honor of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception.  There is an assembly Tuesday with joy and excitement.  Wednesday Trimester One report cards go live in the afternoon, and throughout the week elementary students are preparing for the winter concert.  

Tuesday a message about report cards comes out to families.  This trimester report cards include some changes to grading practices.  These were outlined in a message in September.  The messaging coming out intends to create clarity, yet with any new endeavor there will undoubtedly be questions, curiosities, and even confusions.   Please feel free to reach out to me directly by email, stop by after arrival, or give me a call.

Virtue: Justice

This week our students explore the virtue of Justice.  When we act with justice we make the best choices that maintain the dignity of others.  We focus on seeking God’s guidance as we move through our day and encounter others, challenging situations, or difficult choices.  Our students call on the virtue of justice when they play fairly with others, being kind, not judging others, and see each person for the special gift from God that they are.

Gratitudes

What a wonderful gift our community received from the cast and crew of Into the Woods. Their two performances on Saturday were extraordinary and wonderful examples of our core belief to Inspire Self and Others. Thank you to everyone who made the production possible: Kathleen Jones (drama director), Laura Thiebes and Chris Storm for help with the technical pieces, 8th graders for putting down the floor covering, volunteers who set up and took down the stage, greeted the audience, and provided the flowers, and to our families who drove actors to and from rehearsals, ran lines with their children, and sat proudly in the audience. Up next in the spring: Beauty and the Beast.
