Monday Minute
Happy Catholic Schools Week!

We had a great start to our Catholic Schools Week at our prayer service led by the 8th grade! We had three students discuss how they have grown in the areas of learning, service, and leadership during their time at Christ the King.

Thank you to all of our parent and student volunteers who made our Open House a success. Our prospective parents were impressed by how knowledgeable and friendly our parents and students were. I am looking forward to many of them joining us next year. Thanks as well to everyone for promoting the Open House. You can turin in your yard signs when you come to the picnic on Friday. We will be able to reuse them.

The following note about Wednesday's dangerous weather was emailed earlier today. The subject heading had my email address in it. I apologize for the confusion. The note is intended to let you know that we are monitoring conditions and may most likely close school and have our first eLearning day. Hot Lunch has been cancelled and the Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast will be rescheduled. When the weather is this extreme, I believe safety comes first. I will be sending out an update by noon tomorrow.

Stay warm and safe and have a great night.

Plates and napkins will be available, as well. There will be a list of who ordered pizzas, so there will be no stickers that day. If you have any questions, please contact .  If a family did not order pizza, feel free to bring in favorite foods, and be aware that many fast food restaurants will be crowded at that time. Also, please know that  the students get very anxious if the parent is late in arriving.   Please remember  1:00 dismissal and NO AFTERCARE .

Mary Queen Of Heaven Missionaries

On November 7th, Sister Irene from Mary Queen of Heaven Missionaries came to talk to the middle school about her amazing vocation story and how she lives out Jesus’ mission everyday by helping children and their families in the Philippines.

The Sisters of Mary Queen of Heaven’s Mission:
To provide an education for children living in the Philippines who
suffer from extreme poverty and are in need of a safe place to live.

How can we help:
Raise money to sponsor a child
$300 raised = one child gets an education with all needed resources
Donate vitamin c gummies, baby and toddler clothes and toys

eLearning Day Reminder
We are planning on having an eLearning Day on Friday, February 15th instead of making that day up for the day we missed before Thanksgiving. Below are a few important things to know.

1) Students will have 2 additional school days after the eLearning day to make up assignments.
2) All assignments will be a review of concepts that have already been taught.
3) Kindergarten - 5th grade teachers will email you a list of assignments by 8:00 am the morning of an eLearning Day. Middle School Teachers will have assignments posted to their Google Classroom pages by 8:00 a.m.
4) Teachers will be available through email to answer questions from 8:00-1:00.
5) The majority of activities will require internet access and may use IXL. The computer lab will be available after school for two days after the eLearning Day for students who were unable to access the internet to complete their assigned tasks.
