We are getting close to the end of the school year and students are undoubtedly beginning the countdown. “There are… days left” can create excitement, a bit of anticipation, or even anxiety that can lead us to miss out on enjoying the day we have. Walt Whitman reminds us that “Happiness, not in another place but this place… not for another hour, but this hour.” There is so much left to learn, do, experience, and celebrate.
Last Tuesday during Titan homeroom time, classes reflected on the year so far. These reflections included what individual accomplishments students were proud of and what were the shared accomplishments for the class. Students and the whole class then set goals for the rest of the year. Families can keep the conversation and excitement for the year going by asking “What were you proud of? What is your goal for the rest of the year?”.

This Week's Virtue: Modesty
The virtue of modesty encourages students to recognize themselves as the unique gifts from God that they are. It invites them to honor their identity, acknowledge their limitations, and embrace humility. By drawing on last week’s virtue of self-control, students can resist the urge to be boastful or self-centered, choosing instead to focus on serving God and others.

Prayer Intentions
- Let us pray in gratitude for the gift of music and the joy in the faces of children as they sing.
- As we commemorate Memorial Day let us pray for those departed members of our families.
| |
Gratitudes
- To everyone who supported our track athletes this year -- coaches, volunteers, and parents. And thank you to all of the coaches throughout the year.
- To third grade parents who showed up last Friday to help students celebrate their pizza party, which was earned for being the class with highest per student raised for Titan Run.
- Fourth grade completed their Rockin Rooms service project this last weekend. Thank you to families who donated funds and items, showed up to help students box up the supplies on Friday, or packed it out the next day.
- Thank you to teachers, parents, and especially Mrs. Ehmke, who helped students prepare for this week’s concert. It is going to be spectacular (as always).
- Thank you to students who served at mass this weekend: Emmie, Grayson R., Julianna, Isabella, Kaitlyn, Charlie, Charlotte, Matheas. And students who sang with 11:15am choir.

Our day begins at 8:15am (9:15am on Wednesdays). Students who arrive after our starting time need to be signed in. Students receive a late slip to give to their teacher. Please do not send late students into school without an adult accompanying them.
On June 6th, families will be billed for incomplete volunteer hours. Here are the requirements:
- Holy Trinity School requires families to contribute 20 volunteer hours per two-parent family and 10 hours for single-parent families. This expectation is outlined in the Family Handbook on page 18.
-
Throughout the year volunteer opportunities are shared on the Track it Forward page.
-
Any unfulfilled hours are billed at $25.00/hour. Families will be billed for any unfulfilled share hours on June 6th.
-
Parents can log hours for activities that will occur after June 5th (i.e., graduation, lunch duty, recess, end of year picnic, etc.).
Log your hours by creating an account with Track It Forward here: Volunteer Opportunities - Holy Trinity School - Beaverton, OR
