OKCMAR has received a NAR grant for the marketing of our homeless initiative.

Next thing we need is for our members to join the effort!

This part of the initiative is divided into three areas:

Messaging

This workgroup will be responsible for developing a messaging campaign to educate the membership and public about the challenge of homelessness in the metro. Messaging will include the creation of a factoid campaign utilizing OKCMAR communications, social media, and other marketing tools.

Marketing Campaign

This workgroup will be responsible for developing a marketing campaign utilizing owned, paid, and earned media.

Homeless Programs & Resources

This workgroup will be responsible for gathering information from organizations, resources and services serving the homeless community. They will develop a tool to connect membership with these resources.

To sign up for a group or if you have questions, please e-mail Gary Jones at gjones@okcmar.org.

The election season continues with an election on August 23rd for those candidates who did not get a majority of the vote. OKCMAR is asking our members to consider voting for two of those candidates running for local office: current Oklahoma County District 1 Commissioner Carrie Blumert and Oklahoma County District 3 Commissioner candidate Myles Davidson. Blumert’s district covers primarily central Oklahoma City, the Village, and eastern Oklahoma County. Davidson’s district covers NW Oklahoma City and Edmond.

These candidates' accomplishments give a preview of what they could do to help with the priorities that REALTORS® believe are important in creating quality neighborhoods and communities.
