Howdy Pardners! It has been a month since we kicked off the 2021 RPAC Round-Up investment campaign. Good news: we have raised or have had pledged to RPAC close to $20,000. While we should all be excited, we still have a little ways to go to meet our goals for the year. 

Here are some ways that you can support and invest in RPAC this week:   

RPAC Participation Pet Contest

Now until April 30^th, the NAR RPAC Participation Council is holding the pet contest between regions. Members in each region are asked to invest in RPAC by voting for their favorite pet. Each vote will be $15. You can help our Region 9 by investing in RPAC in the month of April through this program. Here is how:  

• Go to the Pet Contest page  
• Scroll down to Region 9 and you'll see Topless the horse!
• Click on Vote for Topless, enter your NRDS # and check the amount you want to give. If you are giving more than $75, clickOther and enter your amount.  
• Last, fill in your payment method and click Process Investment to finalize.  

Join RPAC for lunch at OKCMAR Food Truck Day on May 5th

Due to rain in the forecast, the Food Truck Day has been moved to Wednesday, May 5th.

RPAC will have a booth set up from 11 am to 1:30 pm. If you have not made your investment you can sign up and make your investment there. Also, for those in attendance who become a Major Investor or donate $100 or more, we will have RPAC swag as a token of appreciation for your support. 

Beginning today, a security update will be activated in your keyboxes.

Once the update is turned on: 

·  eKEYs with versions below 2.0 of the eKEY app will not be able to open keyboxes. Individuals who do have not the current eKEY app on their device will be required to download the latest version. Updates to the Supra eKEY app for Android and Apple are available from the respective app stores. Our records show there are very few agents that do not have the newer eKEY apps.



·   Some older smartphones and tablets will no longer be able to open keyboxes. This includes Palm, Windows Mobile, BlackBerry OS less than 4.5, and Apple OS less than 4.3. Our records indicate there are no older device users in your organization.

In response to the continuing economic fallout from the COVID-19 crisis, Congress passed the third Covid legislation called the American Rescue Act. This act has specific features to help millions of Americans who were faced with the pressures of having to decide between making mortgage payments and other essential obligations. This was especially true for the low-income communities and communities of color who bore the brunt of this crisis. Across the country, one in 10 homeowners with a mortgage is behind on payments. The act takes immediate steps to help Americans stay in their homes and keep a roof over their heads. 

OKCMAR has been monitoring the status of those steps for the state of Oklahoma. Right now, the state and local communities are working to finalize the Housing Assistance Fund (HAF) plan for Oklahoma. States were given until 45 days after March 11^th to submit their plans. OKCMAR will update as more details become available.
