Leadership Huntington Gains Insight & Inspiration

at Marshall University

Leadership Huntington had an inspiring day at Marshall University, hearing from campus leaders and learning valuable lessons in leadership and personal growth!

We started the day at the Marshall University Foundation, where we learned about the Marshall for All, Marshall Forever initiative with Toney Stroud, Chief Legal Officer, VP for Strategic Initiatives and Corporate Relations.

We then heard from a Marshall University Leadership Panel featuring:

Brandi Jacobs-Jones, Senior VP for Operations

Sara Payne Scarbro, Associate VP for External Engagement

Bruce Felder, Chief Human Resources Officer

Cara Bailey, Assistant Dean & Director of the Society of Yeager Scholars, led a discussion on relationship building and maintenance, followed by Devon Rochelle Heyn, Spiritual Astrologer, Life Coach, and Wellness Teacher, who shared strategies for managing day-to-day chronic stress.

In the afternoon, we spent time with Marshall University Athletics, touring the Cam Henderson Center with Christian Spears, Director of Athletics, followed by a discussion on leadership strategies. We then had an inspiring session on Championship Behaviors with Chris Grassie, Men’s Soccer Head Coach.

Thank you to our presenting sponsor, Marshall Health Network, and our lunch sponsor, Marshall University Foundation and Alumni Association!
