This new service ensures that patients facing dental pain, injury or other emergencies can access immediate care without the need for an appointment.

Apprenticeship Readiness - FREE for a limited time! -

Classes begin January 14th

This 9- week course prepares participants for Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeships and/ or entry level positions on project sites. Successful completers will earn a nationally recognized certificate through the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) and certifications in First Aid/CPR, OSHA 30, and Forklift Operator.

La Dolce Vino: An Evening of Italian Wines to Support Medical Student Scholarships

The Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine will host La Dolce Vino: An Evening of Italian Wines. This special wine and food pairing fundraising event hosted by Sommelier Mike McCarthy, CSW, will be 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, at the Touma Museum of Medicine, 314 9th Street in Huntington.

 

Tickets are $1,000 for a table of eight, $275 per couple or $150 per person. Availability is limited, and reservations are required. Please RSVP to Selena Johe at johe@marshall.edu or 304.691.1700. All proceeds benefit medical student scholarships, directly supporting the next generation of health care providers.

Achieves Perfect Score in HRSA Operational Site Visit

Valley Health Systems Inc. is proud to announce achieving a perfect score following its recent Operational Site Visit (OSV) conducted by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). This outstanding achievement confirms that Valley Health is in full compliance with all program requirements, encompassing a wide range of operational aspects including administration/governance, finance, and clinical practices. 


The HRSA OSV team, made up of expert consultants in the 3 focus areas of the visit, conducted a comprehensive review over a span of two and a half days in at Valley Health - Pea Ridge and Valley Health - East Huntington. They meticulously examined 18 chapters of the compliance manual, detailing 93 subsections that require careful adherence to ensure organizational excellence. A federal representative from the Bureau of Primary Health Care, who offered technical support throughout the process.
