The Charleston Area, Huntington Regional, and Putnam County Chambers of Commerce are excited to announce the third annual State of the Valley, Presented by Meek’s Rentals & Leasing, will be held on Wednesday, August 20. This event is designed to foster regional collaboration and showcase the progress of our vibrant communities. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with top business leaders and decision makers, discover exciting new projects and strategies for regional growth, network with business and community leaders, and play an active role in strengthening the talent pipeline that fuels our state’s workforce.
The event will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the Valley Park Conference Center in Hurricane. We invite business leaders, community advocates, and all individuals invested in the region’s future to join us at the event. Valley Health’s Dr. Andrea Vallejos
Appointed to National Steering Board

Valley Health Systems congratulates Dr. Andrea Marcum Vallejos, Vice President of Health Informatics and Chief Medical Information Officer, on her election to the Epic Obstetrics Specialty Steering Board. Dr. Vallejos—a board-certified OB/GYN and long-time Valley Health provider—will serve a two-year term beginning July 2, 2025.
This national advisory board brings together clinicians from across the country to improve Epic’s EHR tools for obstetric care. Dr. Vallejos will represent community-based OB providers and FQHCs, bringing her expertise in documentation, provider efficiency, and innovation to help shape the future of obstetrics within Epic.

The Keith-Albee Performing Arts Center has announced the appointment of David Miller as its new Executive Director, effective July 1. With extensive experience in marketing, event operations, and community engagement—including leadership roles at the Paramount Arts Center and Marshall Health Network Arena—David brings a strong vision to this historic venue as it prepares for a major Fall 2025 reopening and its 100th anniversary celebration in 2028.
We’re excited to see this next chapter unfold for one of Huntington’s most iconic cultural landmarks. Stay tuned for details about an upcoming community meet-and-greet to welcome David and hear more about the theatre’s future.
