State Baseball Championships to Move to Huntington in 2026

The Huntington Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (HACVB) is thrilled to announce the West Virginia State High School Baseball Championships will be hosted at Jack Cook Field on the campus of Marshall University beginning in 2026. The event will be held in Huntington through 2028, with an option for 2029, and will showcase 32 teams from across the state.

The event will provide a boost to local businesses and offer an opportunity for players, fans, and families to experience the hospitality of Huntington.

“We are very excited to have secured this bid,” said Tyson Compton, President of the Huntington Area CVB. “Anna Adkins, our Director of Sales and Marketing, has been working diligently in partnership with Marshall University Athletics to bring this to fruition. Now we can’t wait to welcome the teams, fans and WVSSAC staff to Huntington!”

Wild Wonderful & Well — a one-night wellness festival taking place on Thursday, October 23, 2025

Hosted by BDY Studios, this event is a vibrant celebration of movement, mindfulness, and community connection. The idea for Wild Wonderful & Well grew from the success of our long-running event, All Aboard BDY, which has brought hundreds of people together to move, give back, and celebrate local wellness. Building on that momentum, we envision Wild Wonderful & Well as a way to expand the spotlight — to not only gather our community for an unforgettable evening, but to also showcase the full range of wellness opportunities that exist right here in Huntington and throughout West Virginia.

The event will spotlight Huntington’s growing wellness and small business scene — with expected attendance of 200+ and media coverage from local outlets. With your support, we aim to elevate our community within the wellness space and show what makes Huntington so wonderfully well.

As with the past All Aboard BDY events, a high-energy signature BDY class, a curated vendor market, and live music will connect people with the information, businesses and energy that help us all feel our best.

Our signature BDY class will begin at 5:30 p.m., and the vendor market and live music will last until 9 p.m.

The fee to sign up for this fun event is $30.
