The American Staffing Association recognized the New Jersey Staffing Alliance with both a Chapter Achievement Award and Legislative Achievement Award for our accomplishments in 2017-18.
This is the 17th consecutive year NJSA has been awarded the top ASA chapter awards and our success is due to the strong leadership and participation of our board, committee members, industry partners and members at large.

NJSA's Lobbyist, Patrick A. Stewart from Public Strategies Impact, has provided members with an update on what is happening in the Trenton and in the state of New Jersey. This week's update includes:
On August 15, 2018 Newark's City Council quietly approved a city ordinance regulating Newark's hotels, including specifically prohibiting hotels from using temporary staff from staffing agencies. The penalties on hotels for using staffing agencies are significant - up to $2,000 per day for each day the hotel uses a staffing agency.
