Legislative leaders and representatives for various sectors joined together Monday to urge voter support for a $500 million school bond referendum.
Senate President Steve Sweeney told reporters that top lawmakers are "very close" to making a deal with the Murphy administration on legislation that would legalize marijuana, expand the state's medical cannabis program and offer ex-offenders processes to expunge their records.
The Senate race between incumbent Democrat Bob Menendez and Republican Bob Hugin remains close.
The Wanaque Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation will continue to shut its doors to new patients for at least the next several weeks, after seven children at the North Jersey facility died this month during an outbreak of adenovirus, state officials said Wednesday.
The reelection race for President Donald Trump's most loyal New Jersey Republican ally in Congress remains neck and neck, according to a poll released Thursday.
